Work will never be the same.

We’ve seen a big shift into remote living and the world is moving towards being decentralised.

More people are going PART-TIME than ever before.

Here’s why and how to adapt👇
As you may know, I and my team are currently working on the next cohort of Part-Time YouTuber Academy.

And while Part-Time seems like a catchy name and nothing more than that, I’ve recently realised that it’s actually the core of the whole course.
Looking back at my life I became aware that I had the most fun when I was working part-time.

When I was a student, I tried to start a company. When I was working as a doctor, I started a YouTube channel.

And now I’m a YouTuber who dabbles with medicine part-time.
In the creator era, no one wants to do just one thing. People like to experiment as it gives them the creative freedom to explore and take risks which is always thrilling.

And if I learnt one thing from the previous cohorts of PTYA is that people are on board with that idea.
People just need to realise how much better this approach is.

And modern entrepreneurs get that. Guys like @shl and @levelsio both run their companies with the help of part-time employees.

That’s because they want to build teams of people who also chase their own projects and goals.

And they don’t want to take these dreams away from them.
@shl @levelsio A lot of people think you've got to be focused on one thing for your whole life and be stuck in that role until you retire. But when you realise that with some time management and conviction that “you can do it”, going part-time isn’t that scary. And it’s really fulfilling.
@shl @levelsio If you also want to go part-time and make YouTube your side-kick (that later may become your main thing), check out my Part-Time YouTuber Academy 👇

My YouTube channel makes over $130k each month from Adsense and sponsorships.

Our overall business revenue which includes courses, affiliate deals and products is over $350k per month.

It’s bloody ridiculous.

Here’s how you can monetise your passion too 👇
There are loads of ways to start making money on YouTube, but I found that these 6 are the best:

🎬 The YouTube Partner Program (YPP)
👯 Sponsorships
🔥 Affiliates
⭕️ Community Earnings
💻 Online Courses
👕 Merchandise

Let's break them down 👇🏼
🎬 1. The YouTube Partner Program (YPP)

There are 2 requirements you have to meet before qualifying for the program:

- 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months
- At least 1000 subscribers

Sounds easy but YouTube is hard.

It takes between 52 and 152 videos to get your first 1,000 subs on YouTube.

The trick to creating all these videos is making filming and editing as frictionless as possible.

Here’s how 👇
⌛ 1 - Consistency

The more you do something, the more it’ll become a habit.

All you really need to do is make one video per week. That’s it.

Focus on this week’s video, then move onto the next, before you know it you’ll be on a roll.
🏋️‍♂️ 2 - Low Lift Content

If you’re in this for the right reasons, you’ll probably be bursting at the seams with video ideas.👇

Getting started on YouTube is easier now than ever before.

With a bunch of free tools, a positive mindset and consistency, here’s why you can become a YouTuber in 2022 👇
Content’s easy to create 🎬

Smartphones have lowered the barrier to entry.

Most phones have good camera quality (at least to start with) and there’s a bunch of free tools to use to improve the quality (if you want to).
Free tools 🆓

‘I need to buy X and Y programmes to make it as a YouTuber’.

Nope - there are a ton of free tools to use if you know where to look. Just Google ‘Free Video Editing Software’ and work from there.

We've had amazing stories come out of PTYA, here's what some of our students had to say about the course :)

First up @david_perell
Tech entrepreneur @johncoogan would average 100 views on his videos

Since taking PTYA he's grown to 140k subs and has had multiple videos go viral 🤯
You may recognise Charlie from Charisma on Command, a channel with 5 million subs 🚀

Charlie's hosting two guest workshops in Cohort 5 focusing on building systems and teaching us how he's built a business from his channel 💰

Over the past 4 years of making videos on YouTube, I’ve figured out loads of ways of generating new video ideas and a system to manage them.

One of them I like to call the ABC(s) of idea generation 👇
1. A → Ask Your Audience 🙋

Everyone has an audience, even if you’re just starting. If you’ve got social media followers it’s easier but even if you don’t you can still ask friends, family etc
This is a super-easy way to generate a handful of ideas and get your creative juices flowing.

So how do you do it? 👇

If we want to succeed on YouTube, people often say niche down to blow up.

They’re right to an extent.

They’re two ways you can approach this👇
The Archaeologist 🔍

I’m no Indiana Jones, but this is the way I’d recommend most of you go about finding your niche.

Start creating content and, over time, you’ll find what you enjoy and your niche will emerge.

Sort of like digging for fossils 🦖
The Architect 🏦

If you’re a big planner, you may want to discover your perfect niche before even thinking about filming your first video.

The only issue with this folks, is that it can lead to procrastination.
