@TAMU Texas A&M is an HSI. A&M is 55% white. to be an HSI, you must be 25% Hispanic. What’s dumb is that the money going to HSIs are really majority white colleges. And Blacks go there too.

So what was the total amount HBCUs received in these seven pools of funding? $6,567,665,681.29. Or $6.5 billion. What was the per pupil cost? Almost $25K per EVERY student attending an HBCU. Now go tell THAT to the lying idiots! 5/5

So allow me to explain AGAIN. The $45 billion number for HBCUs was for HBCUs AND “minority-serving” institutions. There are 103 HBCUs. There are 411 Hispanic Serving Institutions, or HSIs. It was NEVER just for HBCUs. Now, the $45 billion was part of the $3.5 billion Build 7

Back Better bill. Remember it was then cut to $1.5 trillion? And then guess what? IT NEVER WAS PASSED. I don’t understand how @CharlesMBlow and his @BNCNews team missed these crucial facts. As I said above, over the last two years HBCUs got $6.5 billion from the fed govt. 8
