To start, most AAA web 2 game generate revenue from the initial purchase of the game. They spend years to develop to ensure the customer gets maximum value for their purchase right off the bat. These customers pay to essentially have the rights to play the game, but do not
2/11
own any other aspect of the game. The value customers get is mainly for entertainment. AAA studios spend much time to ensure entertainment is at the highest capacity and players can stay engaged for long periods of time.
Entertainment is the MAIN value of web 2 games.

Lets get into web 3 games, specifically p2e and Gods of Asgard. With our game, value is provided to the player in 3 ways: Ownership, tokenomics, AND entertainment.
Ownership: You OWN the NFT playable as your character. You can play, transfer, or sell the NFT as desired.
4/11
This single point is what separates web2 and web3 games fundamentally . With web2 games, you do not own anything other than the rights to play.
Tokenomics: Playing and receiving tokens as rewards is another major value add. Playing web2 games for long periods of time and
5/11
at the highest competitive level, again, brings value and rewards mainly in entertainment. We understand that there are pro level opportunities, but that is always a small % of player bases.
In our game, playing for long periods of time and at high competitive levels
6/11
rewards players in the form of tokens. These tokens are also owned by the player and can be traded, transferred, and sold
Entertainment: Much like web2 games, we put focus on making the game entertaining as possible. Aside from the other values our players receive, we want
7/11
our game to be as entertaining as possible for short and long periods of time just like web 2. The difference is that we can spend large chunks of time developing the core gameplay and economy where players will feel immense value off the bat. Then focus on providing
8/11
frequent updates that will balance and improve on the core gameplay including PvP, more maps, VR, additional game types, etc. The list goes on and on.
The magic of utilizing Unity as our game engine allows us to be more dynamic and efficient with our development.
9/11
We can utilize pre-made assets and combine them with custom made assets with the ability to push out frequent updates with little disruption the the game. Unity also allows us to optimize the game for other devices/platforms to ensure game runs smoothly as possible.

Some AMA highlights from the Gods of Asgard's Core team!
Hope it can answer a few questions you may have about the game! We will have major update for you guys on the 15th regarding gameplay, story, lore, etc.
Join us for our next AMA 3/10! ⚡️
Q: How will the combat and gameplay be like?
A: No guns :) The gods will be using hammers, bows & arrows, spears, etc. We're initially launching in 3rd person with a 1st person update in the future. Each will have functions and skills like passive and higher power abilities.
First phase will be PvE then PvP. We want to be able to balance and ensure the game is at a PvP ready state before transitioning over. Stay tuned for our medium post on March 15th for a look into in-depth gameplay.
