Moldova is the smallest country bordering Ukraine; but it has welcomed the most refugees per capita. Every 8th child in the country is a refugee. Says President @sandumaiamd, “We are their family until this madness ends.”

To support the generosity and hospitality of the Slovakian people welcoming refugees into their homes, the Slovakia government is providing monthly stipends to citizens who volunteer to help house fleeing Ukrainians.

Ukrainian children who arrive in Romania can enroll in school, the government recently announced, as well as receive dorm housing and other material assistance. Romania will increase the number of available seats in universities to welcome older Ukrainian students, too.
