I've opened the dreaded letter from my energy provider confirming price increases. My #energybill has risen from £116 to £290 a month. My other bills are on the rise & I've really been feeling the pinch in the supermarket. I'm more & more worried for all of us #energyprices 1/5
How are people expected to survive, let alone live? How can your average low income person/household afford this at all when I'm worrying myself, as a medium income person? If other countries can cap it at 4%, then why can't the UK? 2/5
Having been on a low income before, for many years, I know for many people/households, there's nothing left to cut back on. If this was 15 years ago, I'd be starving myself to feed my kid, getting a 2nd or even 3rd job or getting into more debt - probably all three 3/5
I already knew the Tories didn't care, but if anyone is still even considering voting for them at any ballot box, they need to find their humanity & respect for other people's right to live. I'm tired of our rights, dignity & health being stripped away... This has to stop NOW 4/5
Pls read @BootstrapCook thread - very useful tips & follow them. They have great advice on reducing shopping bills, cooking on a budget, etc. I trust them to help us through this 1000 x more than I would this government. See you on the streets, we cannot let this continue! 5/5
