Let’s talk the CROWN act since it seems like a bunch of U have NO IDEA why it’s needed so lemme simplify it for you

BLACK PEOPLE CAN BE & HAVE BEEN FIRED LITERALLY FOR THE WAY OUR HAIR GROWS OUT OF OUR HEAD!

Lest U think I’m exaggerating, check it out

2) Dress codes at both work & school have long upheld discriminatory practices. One teacher was so “offended” by a mixed faced girls hair she cut it ALL off without the parents permission! Again I’m not making this up!

3) Black bodies are CONSTANTLY policed yes by the police but even “ordinary citizens” who DECIDE we must assimilate to what THEY think is acceptable! Take this referee who forced a CHILD in high school to either cut his dreads or forfeit the match.

4) All of this amounts to an additional tax Black people end up paying just to look “presentable” at work and school and it adds up. 1st consider Black women only make 63 cents on the dollar compared to our White male counterparts…
5) So if you’re keeping track we get paid way less money & have to spend a significant amount of that money on upkeep for our hair so we can KEEP THOSE JOBS that PAY US LESS! We spend 9 times more in hair care, our JOBS & schools REQUIRE IT!

6) Also most W people HAVE NO IDEA just how HIGH MAINTENANCE our hair is. Back when I had perms in high school, I would have to say I had “a dentist appt” so I could get early dismissal. Why not schedule it on the weekend? bwhahahahahahaha With hair appts, u get what u get!
7) Some people have to get their hair done every 2 weeks, some every 6. The time & money adds up, & it’s ridiculous when you think about it, what other group of people is penalized for THE WAY THEIR HAIR GROWS OUT OF THEIR HEAD?! So W people I need u to STEFU about the crown act!
Also I will NOT be engaging bad faith arguments so don’t even bother trying to engage me, I don’t suffer fools and I’ve already blocked a fair few of them. Anyway enjoy this video and really try to absorb the message of the song!

1) Heard this story on the news, this TRUE STORY. Amid the war in Ukraine with people dying, fleeing, etc. stray animals are becoming a real problem. So a group of Ukrainian women have been trying to capture as many of the strays as they can & take them to vets & animal shelters
2) One of the women found a particularly ornery husky who was clearly scared, hungry, and just a bit viscous but she still managed to subdue it and take it to the vet. The vet checked the animal, it was healthy, hungry and scared, oh & by the way

THIS IS WHAT WE MEAN BY SYSTEMIC RACISM!!!

The town was completely ignored while White officials ran it into the ground &stole from it. Now that they have Black officials and are getting an economic boom the “powers that be” are demanding the town dissolve instead!
