According to the boy, he lay on the ground for several more minutes after the occupier tried to kill him. When he left, Yuri ran to the nearest shelter. It turned out to be a local kindergarten, where he received first-aid. /3
For two days the family could not take the body of the deceased to bury him.

Fortunately, the family managed to survive and evacuate to the Cherkasy region. However, soon they returned to the "Okhmatdyt" hospital to record all the injuries of 14-year-old Yuri, who received a bullet wound to the arm, forearm and finger. /5

I have read dozens like this story of individuals, some where held in their basements, some executed, some raped. We are only beginning to understand the scope of the Russian war crimes in Ukraine... /end
