Prince William and Kate were cheered on by the crowd as they went on a walk-about in Trench Town in South, St. Andrew.
The Duke and Duchess greeted the Jamaicans who gathered to welcome their arrival.
While accompanied by Culture Minister @Babsy_grange, William and Kate met Opposition Leader and South St. Andrew Member of Parliament, @MarkJGolding.
Excitement marked the atmosphere as Jamaicans took out their smart phones to record the moment in Trench Town and shook hands with the Duke and Duchess.
The smiling Duke and Duchess also joined members of the Rastafari community in Jamaica in playing the drums.

William also took part in a kick-about with Jamaican born international football stars, Raheem @sterling7 and @leonbailey along with member of the @kcjamaica Manning Cup/Olivier Shield team.
The Duke's exploits on the football field were greeted with loud cheers.
Minister Grange, Kate and State Minister, Alando @terrelonge2016 looked on as William took part in football activities.

Sprint great, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, was also in Trench Town.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were welcomed by Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen and his wife Patricia, as they made a courtesy call on King's House which is the official residence of the Governor General in Kingston, Jamaica.

Earlier, prior to the arrival of the Duke and Duchess, several Jamaicans gathered in front of the British High Commission in Jamaica and demanded an apology and reparations.
The royal couple's arrival yesterday was marked by a 21-gun salute at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

#BREAKING: Police Constable Noel Maitland o/c Noel One Time has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of Donna-Lee Donaldson.
Maitland was charged today by investigators from the Counter Terrorism & Organized Crime branch of the JCF.
#UPDATE: It's understood that the Police moved to charge Maitland with the murder of Donna Lee after significant evidence, including telephonic data, tied Maitland him to the crime.
Forensic work led to the discovery of Donaldson's blood on a curtain in Maitland's apartment.
Additional forensic evidence also tied Maitland to the crime.
Maitland, who's a founder of One Time Label, is expected to face additional charges in connection with what the Police believe to be efforts to hide his involvement in the crime and frustrate the Police investigation.
#UPDATE: A security guard, who's attached to a prominent company and is in custody in connection an explosion at a Scotiabank ATM in Port Antonio, Portland is expected to be hit with multiple charges, including fraud.
The security has given a statement confessing to the crimes.
The guard has reportedly confessed to over several years stealing money intended for the ATM.
The ATM was destroyed a few days before an audit was to take place.
The guard was injured during the fire which was lit using gasoline. The fire caused an AC unit to explode.
The security guard has reportedly told Police that part of the reason he stole millions of dollars was to pay an 'obeah man' who was pressuring him for money.
The guard reportedly says he had consulted the 'obeah man' in order to ensure a reconciliation with his ex-girl friend.
