I am grateful to Pro Tem Greg Treat and every senator who voted to put parents in charge of their child’s education.
At the same time, it is deeply concerning that so many voted to deny parents and students choices... (1/3)
...and keep them trapped in a system that has failed many Oklahoma children and left our state 49th in the nation in education. (2/3)
Every child deserves the opportunity to attend the school that best works for them, regardless of their zip code or income level, and I will never stop fighting to empower parents and fund students over systems. (3/3)

OUR CURVE IS FLATTENING & we are making great progress in Oklahoma, but now is not the time to take our foot off the gas. What we do over the next two weeks will significantly impact what we can do after April 30.
I extended my Safer at Home order until May 6 to continue to protect our vulnerable populations. While overall data trends look positive, we know this virus can be deadly. We need to keep practicing #SocialDistancing, washing hands frequently & limiting trips outside of our home.
Elective surgeries will be able to resume starting on April 24th. We suspended them to protect hospital beds in case of a surge & to protect PPE for our healthcare workers treating #COVID19 patients. Based on our data, we now feel confident about our hospital numbers & PPE.
I know Oklahomans are hurting, and a lot of people are nervous. We’re going to get through this.
To stay proactive in a rapidly changing environment, I am issuing an Executive Order today, strongly recommending Oklahomans follow all guidance from the CDC to protect public health over the next 15 days.
The guidance includes:
☑️Avoid gatherings of more than 10 people.
☑️Avoid discretionary travel.
☑️Use drive-thru, pickup and delivery options to support local restaurants.
☑️Do not go inside nursing homes. Instead, call or facetime your loved ones instead
The state of our state is growing in strength, stability & new opportunity for generations to come. We are moving in the direction we all want to go: Top Ten in the Nation! #OklaSOTS20#OkTopTen
It's because of the hard work of entrepreneurs, dedication of teachers, compassion of non-profits, community involvement of the churches, & state agencies that are willing to make the tough & selfless decisions for the future of our great state. #OklaSOTS20
Our State’s general revenue fund is estimated to be down almost 1% versus fiscal year 2020. But we have nothing to fear, so long as we remain vigilant in recognizing our needs, planning for our future & shedding waste where operations are outdated or redundant. #OklaSOTS20
