I'm at the #WPUKManchester event this evening. Looking forward to hearing from the speakers.

Sounds like a protest of undetermined size outside (I can hear them, but not see them). I'm not sure what they think is going to be said that is so egregious, but I'll let you know. #WPUKManchester

"High heels do not a woman make". The first speaker today talks about "passing" not being enough to have access to female only spaces. #WPUKManchester

Next speaker is up (apologies for not noting names, they aren't displayed). She is talking about the history of women's sport and the struggle for the right to compete. It's pointed out that all the elite female runners would be beaten by the male equivalent. #WPUKManchester

She talks about all the women that trans swimmer Lia Thomas is responsible for excluding by participating in female categories n #WPUKManchester

This is the crowd outside the venue. I'm not sure what they think is going on inside, but so far I've only heard a talk on the importance of single sex spaces and why sport must be fair. #WPUKManchester

The protest outside probably has no idea it is currently attempting to drown out the voice of refugee Maggy Moyo, speaking about her struggle for women's rights and helping vulnerable women

Maggy is an African asylum seeker. She is telling us of the horrors of FGM and forced abortions that were visited on her fellow women in the name of "culture". And why single sex 'safe space' is vital for these traumatised women #WPUKManchester

We now how Judith Green speaking, a female survivor of childhood sexual abuse. She's doing her best to be heard and stay composed whilst the sizeable crowd outside attempts to drown her out #WPUKManchester

Judith Green is now sharing her disappointment in numerous Labour MPs on the issue of women's rights. Especially being recently told to "Pipe down" by Warrington labour MP Charlotte Nichols for criticising Lia Thomas

An emotional woman during the Q&A: "I'm just amazed at the hatred being shown outside", describing protestors. She speaks of today being "normal men and women having normal conversations". She seems genuinely exasperated by the current situation we're in #WPUKManchester

Not a single thing said tonight has come close to being anti-trans. In fact, trans people were barely mentioned. Everything that has been said was about defending women's rights and upholding the laws created to protect them. #WPUKManchester

I'm living in bizarro world. I'm sat amongst mostly middle aged women (observation, not insult), listening intently to other women talk about women's rights whilst a huge crowd outside chants about the nonexistent hate happening. #WPUKManchester

A very emotional lady during the Q&A says she is disabled due to enduring male violence. She also talks about how her therapist would treat her badly because her therapist subscribes to gender ideology. She's in tears. Maggy Moyo leaves the stage to hug her. #WPUKManchester
