#GinniThomas — Everything we know so far about her involvement to overturn the 2020 election and the events leading up to #January6th and the #CapitolRiot.
"...an organizer who worked with Women for America First, which held the permit for the Ellipse rally, said he was told that Ginni Thomas played a peacemaking role between feuding factions of rally organizers 'so that there wouldn’t be any division around January 6.'"
What have I learned from mapping and tracking the 750+ individuals arrested and charged for participating in the January 6th Insurrection?
During the past six months, I’ve developed, built, and updated the Capitol Riot Map: capitolriotmap.com
Here’s some thoughts—
There is not a singular narrative that captures the motivations of each of the Capitol Riot defendants, however, it does seem that whatever their individual reasons for participating in the January 6th, they all genuinely believed at the time they were part of a righteous cause.
A significant amount defendants were part of social groups (parents, siblings, spouses, or friends) that travel together to Washington, DC, attend the Stop the Steal rally, and participate in the Capitol Riot. (This is in addition to the coordinated networks of extremist groups.)
Hey, y'all! What are your best home remedies or go-to food or drink for the day after you get over an illness? What is it that helps you get your energy and focus back on track?
Since this was not a stomach illness, there seems to be a consensus that my body could use some type of spicy dish or soup — maybe Korean ramen or Thai noodles. Unfortunately, my current finances don’t allow that particular delicious indulgence. But, keep the suggestions coming.
I’m really digging the soup with substance and flavor vibe, and the best thing about making soup is that if you have all the ingredients (chicken bouillon, canned chicken, dried or canned beans, rice, onions, celery, peppers, and assorted spices) — you don’t really need a recipe.
🧵Why do White Evangelical Christians in the U.S. embrace Vladimir Putin?
It’s complicated.
Caveats: Not all White Evangelical Christians embrace Putin nor support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine; veneration of Putin not necessarily based on facts and includes many contradictions.
1) White Nationalism: White Evangelical Christians believe that America was founded as a “Christian Nation,” and that the founding documents, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, were divinely inspired—and that these documents ensure religious liberty exclusively for Christians.
White Evangelical Christians generally do not embrace the idea of a “melting pot” America, a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-religious pluralistic democracy, but rather a “assimilationist” America, where everyone is welcomed if they embrace a specific idea of American identity.
