#Asiwaju@70:
In today's Nigeria, @officialABAT is a subject. Many great word-works have been done to eulogise the personality of the man who rose to the peak of his calling on self-belief, sagacity, decorum, vision and divinely mobilised force beyond human comprehension.
No more beautiful words can be used to paint a man that has been described as “a kingmaker, courageous and fearless political General, patriot, motivator, strategic thinker, risk taker, grand master of grassroots politicking, humanist, visionary leader, crowd puller, crusader…
for change and enthronement of the rule of law, electoral reforms, justice, good governance and development; and a great apostle of power, which, in his view, is never served a la carte."
Asiwaju exudes charisma, carriage, dignity and honour, an indomitable opposition leader, a man endowed with sheer organisational ability, mobilisation prowess, uncommon acumen, masterful logic, foresight. He is the most colourful politician in the post-Awolowo era.
John Quincy Adams said leadership is practised in attitude and action rather than words.
Asiwaju, beyond reasonable doubt, has been reckoned with by our history. One of the greatest characteristics of prophets and leaders is prediction concerning them long before their arrival.
About three decades ago, the late Sage and indomitable political icon, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, predicted that progressive forces would float a formidable opposition platform that would win federal power in Nigeria.
He foretold the emergence of a man that would achieve what the oppositions in the country attempted in 1959/60, 1964, 1979, 1983, 2003, 2007 and 2011 but could not achieve despite their intellectual capacity, ideological inclination and vision of a better society in the country.
@officialABAT has, against all the odds, shown that baba Awolowo’s prediction then was meant for him.
After the demise of Obafemi Awolowo, Tinubu is the outstanding Yoruba Leader to have profoundly shaped and dictated the pendulum of Nigerian Politics from a regional
Tinubu brought to a close the search for a successor/clone that can best fit in to the legacies of Awo. Having resemblances with Obafemi Awolowo, Tinubu takes a step further in his leadership style that builds access and smooth relationship between him and those who follow him
Described as the King of Bourdillon, no individual of whatever class is barred from accessing Tinubu’s political empire.
Hence, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, I rejoice with our own Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu.
I wish him more of sound health, prosperity and above all, God’s wisdom to keep leading us in the right path.
Igba odun, odun kan ni.

It was an honour to chair the 1st Distinguished Public Lecture of the Faculty of Humanities, Anchor University.
Themed:Redefining Leadership and Governance:The Quest to Build a Virile Knowledge-Based Society.
I thank the management & staff of the university for a warm reception
Speaking at the Lecture, it was important to hint ahead of 2023, Nigeria desires a leader with an experience of success in previous assignments, because leaders can only succeed when they have the requisite capacities to meet desires of their followers.
Nigerians currently yearn for more from their leaders in the face of daunting challenges and i hope that the country would meet the collective dream of the citizens soon.
Placing Nigeria side by side some countries and compare developments in the last 50yrs, we all agree that…
Almost 21 years after leaving office as governor of @followlasg , he has not only remained a reference point, but has become a phenomenon. One of the most important factors in the politics of Nigeria and parts of the world as well as a consistent topic for political players...

Asiwaju’s passion for the unity of Nigeria is incomparable. No wonder he’s held very high across the country and constantly described as a unifying force for the nation’s continued growth and progress.
I have proudly revalidated my membership for @OfficialAPCNg and i am quite optimistic that Lagos will produce the highest number of members of the All Progressives Congress at the end of the ongoing registration/revalidation exercise. #Thread
The revalidation exercise is like carrying out population census. It will tell us our strength in each State, Local Government, Ward and by extension the entire nation. This will prepare us ahead of future elections. As we know, the success of every Party depends on the...

It is a sad time for us in Lagos, but we must rise again.
Dear Honourable colleagues,
The events that have taken over our state and by extension Nigeria within the past 2 weeks regarding the END SARS protests and its aftermath are such that call for concerns in their entirety.
2. You will recall that this House of Assembly was the first in the nation to identify with the cause of the youths asking for an end to police brutality in the nation. We unanimously threw our weight behind their movement by even coming up with lofty resolutions that were meant
