Mariupol. #Testimony of a witness or “russian roulette”. From an Instagram post by Anna Serdiuk. Thread, a must read 1/9
I survived. For 22 days of the war, I was in Mariupol. To say that it was hell is an understatement. We have lost everything that a person can lose. Our homes, belongings, pets, people we know, lost touch with our loved ones. 2/9
We still do not know if they are alive. They were trying to kill us, every second of our “lives” there. In Mariupol, we changed three basements and managed to cross the city from one side to the other. 3/9
We did not sleep because it was not possible. Bombs were going off all around us. As it tuned out later, these bombs hit the neighboring houses. Now we say that we won the “russian roulette”. 4/9
We had no water or electricity, we lost phone reception. We were living in complete darkness and fear without any information about what was happening in our city, in our country, and not knowing anything about our relatives. 5/9
The weather in the city was very frosty, it was around -13 °C outside and +5 °C in the basement. The windows shattered from shillings, so we had to wear our winter coats, hats, and mittens. 6/9
The last two days we were running out of the water, and we had to drink technical alkaline water from the pipes. We ate very little, saving as much as we could for later. 7/9
The last three days I was not scared of anything. I did not care if I survive or die. I was staring into the darkness, breathing in the gunpowder and sensing the power of the shots with my whole body. I was dreaming that everything is over soon and how I escape. 8/9
As of now, we have managed to get to safety but all our relatives are still there, in that hell created for us by russia. This horror will never be forgotten nor forgiven. Original (in Ukrainian): instagram.com/p/CbyA9LSN7W_/ 9/9
0. President Zelensky addressed the UN Security Council. Key points of his speech are in the thread below 👇
1. It is hard to find a war crime Russia has not committed in Bucha. Russians murdered entire families, tried to burn their bodies, shot civilians in the eyes, threw them in wells, run them over with tanks, cut their limbs off - all of that simply for pleasure
2. Bucha is only one example of Russia's war crimes. The world is yet to see the same in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Borodianka, etc. The only thing that differs these atrocities from those committed by ISIS is that they were committed by a Security Council's permanent member state
Fake about murdered children in Irpen was created to blur the truth about the crimes of the Russian Federation. Official Russian propaganda claimed that the corpses on the streets of Bucha were staged. @TextyOrgUa about the disinformation #GreyZone#AgainstRussianLies
The Russian propaganda machine began to change the story of the murders, rapes, looting and other crimes of its army in #Bucha, #Irpin, #Hostomel and other cities and villages of the Kyiv region.
Throwing fakes about atrocities as one of the types of disinformation. To then set an example and say that Ukrainians are lying.
0. Russian state news agency Ria Novosti published a deeply ideological piece explaining Russia's appetites in Ukraine - and it sends shivers down one's spine. Key postulates are in the long, but very eloquent thread below 👇
1. Russia does not need Nazi, Bandera type of Ukraine, as its enemy and the West's tool for the destruction of Russia.
2. The Nazis who took up arms should be destroyed to the maximum on the battlefield. However, a significant part of the masses, which are passive Nazis, accomplices of Nazism, are also guilty
It is very, very difficult to look at these pictures but we should. Inhumane atrocities of Russian occupation of Kyiv suburbs, Bucha and Irpin'. This is a true genocide. #RussianWarCrimes. Thread of photos

Key points of our latest podcast with @Mariia_Zolkina on Ukraine's security and security guarantees. Thread 1/7
All-inclusive multilateral security deal for Ukraine, suggested by Zelensky and his office, might not work. Countries suggested are too different, and security provisions they could provide are very different too 2/7
The wording of security deal proposals sound like an enhanced Budapest memorandum. I.e.: "consultations" in case of aggression, but no automatic consequences 3/7
