The political persecution relates to Alia URASHEVA'S participation in a peaceful protest on 4 January 2022. Following the protests, on 10 January 2022, the authorities sentenced her to a politically motivated administrative detention for 5 days.

Procedural status is not indicated and, therefore, the summons is invalid. It was signed by #SEYDAKHAN A., investigator of the Kyzylorda City Prosecutor's Office.

On 8 April, the activist ignored an unlawful summons to the police due to its political motivation.

On 8 April 2022 about a dozen police officers came to the house of Galymzhan KARABAYEV with illegal search on the basis of an unlawful court order. The house was completely searched and Galymzhan's phone was seized.

It is worth noting that there is a risk that the prosecutor's office will file a protest and the court of appeal will reverse the decision on parole. We therefore continue to demand the release of Kairat KLYSHEV.
