January 6th of 2021 is one of the darkest days in our 246 years as an independent nation. It was a day in which a sitting President of the United States with the HELP OF SITTING REPUBLICAN MEMBERS OF CONGRESS (including MTG herself) incited a violent mob to storm the U.S. Capitol
These domestic terrorists were coordinated by white supremacist leaders, oath keepers, and former military service members turned MAGA militia who knew *exactly* what points of the Capitol were the *least* secure thanks to assistance from the *treasonous* Republicans inside it.
Their violent assault on the beacon of our democracy KILLED EIGHT PEOPLE, INJURED OVER A HUNDRED AND FORTY OTHERS, and came terrifyingly close to ending the entire experiment of American democracy. Nothing about this horrifying attack on our country has been “overdramatized.”

Every patriotic American supports the investigation of the @January6thCmte; which Republicans have unilaterally condemned as “a witch hunt” and vowed to shut down if they retake the House.

The @GOP have been working tirelessly to remove every safeguard that prevented them from crowning Trump dictator on January 6th after the insurrection failed since then.

They are also working tirelessly to restrict access to the ballot box by passing hundreds of voter restriction bills in 49 states over the last year and a half. Their aim is to gerrymander & suppress their way back into House majority so they won’t need an insurrection next time.
Lastly, we know from history that failed coups that are met with little to no accountability are followed by successful ones. This happened with Hitler in 1939 and will happen here in 2024 if Republicans retake control of Congress [they CANNOT retake it under any circumstances].
