In honor of @cryptoshields: It's been nearly a month since we called out #RugPullMafia, although we have reported individual projects we caught as it happened. These scammers have now stolen over 1400ETH from our pockets since December 🧵
2/The full extent of this network is quite sickening as you can see by this @blocksearch graph - Thus far, there have been over 75 confirmed rug pulls by this group
3/This group funds all of this through 5 primary wallets, a combination of @kucoincom@OKEx_Wallet and @binance - They then create shell wallet after shell wallet, before ultimately funneling all money back to @binance
4/Most people just assume this is some person in their basement... One of the wildest parts of this story is that all of these wallets are originating out of Russia and Belarus, by a team of at least 5 people.
5/In a recent @guardian article regarding Binance, @cz_binance , founder, says exchanges will comply with curbs on individuals.... seems to be the perfect group to start curbing...
6/This group has organized a massive network of social accounts by exploiting @verified system through purchasing these accounts, and recycling names as to not lose their blue check. Maybe @elonmusk will plan on doing something about this 🤔
7/For a more detailed analysis - check out this thread by @NFT_Awareness
8/Here are the obligatory new rug posts since our last update...
9/Continued
10/Continued
11/@Twitter@TwitterSafety and #NFTCommunity, it is about time we all collectively step up and put a stop to this insanity - we ask that everyone go report the accounts within @NFT_Awareness thread -
12/As mentioned, while the names of these people have changed, they are tracked by their Twitter ID. Because of this, @rugpullfinder has been permanently blocked from seeing any of their new rugs or any of their accounts, making it difficult to keep a pulse on them.
13/Just this morning, a member of the Anti-Scammer Squad had their account shut down by these scammers (@cryptoShields) as they used their @Verified pages to giveaway money for reporting (which no winners were ever chosen..surprise surprise)
14/@cryptoShields even submitted reports to @TwitterSafety regarding this specific promotional campaign. Their response - "These accounts are not in violation of our rules and Terms of Service".
15/As this group continues to make more money, they will only become more powerful and gain more influence and deceive more people....
. @Crypto_Bull_NFT - new founders, who were original holders of the project, came in to save the community as the writing was on the wall.
They have done a phenomenal job of turning the project around and start delivering value to their community.
2/People like @cgrigori@fwithdoc@mydrover21 and @floki_musk within the NFT space deserve to be highlighted way more than the scammers who decimate our space and make mass adoption difficult.
3/Huge shoutout to @cgrigori@fwithdoc@mydrover21 and @floki_musk for sticking up for themselves and their community! It is sad to see scammers get away with so much everyday, but it's good to see people fighting alongside us to positively impact the space.
Over the past three months we've been tracking and investigating a group of #NFT projects which were brought to our attention after collectively making over 40,000ETH from their communities, not including royalties, rinsing and repeating the strategy across multiple projects 🧵
2/This is the first part of our investigation, an extension of the work done by @RugBustersCO - For reference, and to learn more about the parties involved and Discord activity- please take a moment to read this medium article - medium.com/@kryptiloid/va…
3/When this piece dropped, over 10 of these projects reached out to claim that it was impossible that their project is connected to other projects. Let's dive in:
We are often reviewing/auditing/investigating hundreds of projects at a time- recently @WomenUniteNFT and the entire Women Unite Kingdom came to our attention as we began hearing stories from their community about how it turned from a positive experience to all about money🧵
2/At first glance and looking at their Discord server and website, they appear to be all about positive vibes, the Power of Attraction and manifestation. Let's dive deeper into the project so you can understand why we have warned everyone about it.
3/The project and company behind @WomenUnitedNFT (WU) are I Am Creator (IAC) and Super Creators (SC). The man behind these projects and company is Eric Ho aka "Master Sri Akarshana". The teams running WU and SC are part of IAC. Why is this important…
As stated previously, We do not believe @tmntnft owns the rights to the IP they claim to own, and unless they can get cooperation from Viacom for the release of their collection, it will absolutely be a rugpull. 🧵
2/Being they do not have that authorization yet, per their letter, we are leaving our post up. Publishing a letter from their attorney does not constitute publishing official documents to prove their legitimacy.
3/Let's dive in:
Skemme Productions (Squemme) was registered July of 2021. Their current business dealings have been exploiting all works and products within cinema and publishing.
. @0xApeverse you threatening us with a lawsuit for defamation claiming we made up the fact that you have stolen artwork for your NFT... Here is @BoredApeYC#MAYC4849 and your image side by side. Here is also your website image side by side with "The Secret of Monkey Island"
Tell us again how you aren't a scammer please
OH WAIT - Here's one more piece of stolen art.....
