I lost the clear piece that covers the front landing gear light, so I had to make one from the runner to replace it. Not nearly as transparent but gets the job done.
So glad I ponied up for the optional weapon set to accompany this kit.
Japanese portmanteau of “Space” and “Navy.”
Details and decals done. Up next: final assembly.
Safety shot and…done! Kit’s a bit of hand grenade, so gotta proceed gingerly with the photo shoot. Sadly turns out I can’t mount the kit on a stand with the weapon loadout so have to set them aside for now.
The next project. Like a friend of mine said: it’s all about rebuilding our youth. #
Looks simple enough: three main runners, a small runner of clear parts, a bunch of runners for the wheels (with matching rubber treads!), and this beautiful sheet of decals that I hope survives the experience.
It’s smaller than I thought it’d be (HG Leo for scale), but still cute as heck. Gotta clean it up some before I paint it.
One of the more bizarre talking points I’ve come across in the pro-Marcos echo chamber is that the family never stole a centavo of public money. If so, where’s the conviction? they ask.
I find this really strange for a number of reasons. 1/x
To begin with, aren’t you scraping the bottom of the barrel if the best argument you can offer is “Yes, but has s/he ever been convicted?” #justsaying 2/x
So much of the Marcos wealth has been ruled as ill-gotten and returned to the Philippine government. (There are some who will split hairs that ill-gotten is not the same as stolen, but for all intents and purposes the two are one and the same to the man on the street.) 3/x
