‘Battle Inoculation’ & ‘Survival’ were probably the most important part of the training in the ‘Academy’ and anything and everything post-lunch till the first rays of the sun was the actual training.

Alma Mater taught us many prime things and it didn’t always happen at PT, Parade, Games or at the Academic and Outdoor Training.

Cognition was at its best when one looked at all those meaningful quotes on the Wall & Desk of the LH (Lecture Halls).

These pearls of wisdom and survival techniques were written with the Sweat & Blood of our predecessors.

Many curious ‘Academy Suppandi’ benefited enormously from the seamless cognition of this ‘Gyan’.

Hence the first thing we learned was...

“The More You Sleep In Peace, the Less Sleepy You Feel At War”
The classroom ‘Forty Winks’ gave us enough energy to last the ‘Battle Inoculation’.

“A Rolling Cadet Gathers No Doubts”.
Time tested it was, and keeping the ‘Hogs’ busy by switching off their ability to think and cutting off the circuit between the Heart, Brain and the Backside, was a great trick up every senior's sleeve.

The awesome ‘LH Gyan’ also opined

“Eat Shit; A Million Flies Can’t Be Wrong”.
How far we trusted those Flies is debatable; however, we did eat almost anything and drank water from sources left to one's imagination.

The predecessor also wrote on the wall...

Every day was ‘Survival’ and ‘Chaotic’, the opportunity was availed by one and all in the Academy, it was the Bread & Butter in Hunter.

Non-adherent to this gyan resulted in many ‘Keen Kumars’ spending a lot of time in the ‘Periphery’ and ‘Khadakwasla MH’ respectively

Academy taught us the value of time and recuperation while telling us that…

“Time you enjoy wasting & sleeping is not a wasted time”. ‘Never give up on your dreams, Keep Sleeping’

We kept learning more and more about less and less until we knew everything about nothing.

In ‘Hunter’ what we lacked in intelligence, we made up for in stupidity.

‘The Academy Formula’ was clear as crystal, “If you found yourself in a fair fight, you probably didn’t ‘manage’ your mission properly.”

“If your planned attack on ‘Eats/ Tea/ and Bunking was going on too well, you’re probably walking into an ambush.”

‘Chetwode's Motto’ was ok when one was done, dusted and leaving the Academy.

Otherwise, a fresher was always made to believe in ….
