#mboutage #mbstorm 🧵 Here’s some updated estimated timelines for areas that were clobbered by the weekend’s storm. (1/7)

In the Morden area, staff are dealing with icing west of Morden and high water levels east of Morden. We have three ice melts on our lines planned today. Full restoration is expected by 8 p.m. today. (2/7)

Crews in Brandon and Portage areas have cleaned up all outages and were sent to help in Morden, Killarney and Dauphin areas. (3/7)

In the Virden area, we’re rebuilding 10 spans of power lines and setting three poles. We’re hoping to have everyone in the area restored before tomorrow. (4/7)

In both Russell and Erickson areas, the RM is clearing snow to allow staff to access outages. If weather cooperates and no further damage is discovered, we expect to have repairs in Erickson complete and outages restored by the end of the day. (5/7)

Dauphin and surrounding rural areas were the hardest hit. We’re working on repairing upwards of 50 broken poles and removing thick layers of ice from lines to prevent further outages. We expect some customers will be out of power until Wednesday or Thursday. (6/7)
