"It's important to set context and expectations," says Bell. "We see a lot of conflict online over this event, much of it from people and groups behind keyboards far away who want to drive social discord. I absolutely do not want to see this conflict on our streets." #OttNews

Bell says organizers tell police 500 motorcycles expected. Many to stay in downtown hotels. Also, an event expected in a rural area near Eagleson Road, Bells says. And, a church in Vanier is known to be frequented by these groups, Bell adds. #OttCity

Downtown councillors McKenney and Fleury are both most concerned for their own residents who they say are still traumatized by the truck convoy a couple of months ago. #OttCity

Menard asks about the CN Cycle for CHEO, a fundraiser taking place this weekend too for the first time since 2019.

Coun. Moffatt, who's been on the RVCA board for a decade said they shouldn't "malign" the conservation authority and suggest wrong-doing if they can't prove wrong-doing exists.
