#AcademicTwitter How do you manage academic writing, especially when English is not ur native language? Feel free to share your methods. You may help others in ways you cannot imagine.
Following @PartoutProf's post on bias against non-natives and @Misspoetry5's struggles regarding academic writing, I share my methods of managing academic writing. Hope some find them helpful.
1⃣ A supervisor or mentor who knows very well about academic writing and revises your writing obsessively. It can be very disappointing, but if you manage your feelings, you can learn a lot in the long term. This one is how my writing improved.
2⃣ I write without trying to make the words and sentences perfect the first time. I repeatedly use the exact words if nothing else comes to my mind; otherwise, I cannot finish the first draft.
3⃣ When revising my writing, I look up the proper synonyms in different dictionaries and tools. There are lots of good dictionaries, but my favorites are

5⃣ Don't forget the grammar checkers. Remember these tools do lots of other things

🟢prowritingaid.com
🟢quillbot.com (this is the best for paraphrasing as far as I know)
🔟 Copy-cat! Read articles in your field and try to use their words and styles. Even you can prepare a list of helpful words and phrases for the future.
But don't plagiarize.
Finally, universities generally have help centers for writing. Check if your university provides one!
