After talking further with people on the inside, here are some valuble insights directly from @FreewayFi CEO, @grahamdoggart

Here is some clarification on how user deposit rewards are created + why user's deposits are untouched, not lent out, no charge on them, not used to >

secure anything (and why they can say, better than a bank for holding assets)

No other project they know of have a fully regulated crypto brokerage license.

Ok, so Prime brokerages can allocate leverage (credit to trade at higher volumes) and after a regulatory shakeout, >

pro trading max leverage in mature regulated jurisdictions is around 30:1 the deposits.

Brokerages can choose where to allocate that credit, like a bank giving someone a black unlimited card and someone else just a $100 overdraft or nothing at all.

As the AuBit Prime Deposit Reward custody service does not include a leverage allocation, it can allocate that leverage to AuBit’s trading accounts. The more leverage, the more money the same trades make for the business >

It is important to understand that this is not risking deposits whatsoever, just increasing the leverage AuBit has for its trading accounts. They have proprietary tech that prevents over leverage + prevents liquidation, no matter the leverage, >

and their structure opens them up to access leverage more and more as unleveraged deposits are added to the brokerage.

AuBit is all about pure alignment, so they incentivise users to use their fully regulated crypto and fiat custody services with deposit rewards. >

Not only is your custody FREE, you get paid to use it. No risk, no hidden fees, no catch.

So, AuBit can multiply the returns on its own funds without ever touching customer funds, just because they have more users, depositing more.

Because of social finance, @FreewayFi opts to share more of those rewards with users than ANYONE ELSE.
