Here's five products with breakdowns you could launch in this niche ππΌ
Every week I break down a niche on here with product ideas, pricing etc, and include the factory links in my newsletter.
My goal: help new entrepreneurs learn how to make their own differentiated products and take advantage of the consumer shift towards smaller brands.
A quick scroll through Tik Tok can easily give you a dozen product concepts, and show you just how big the targeting group for online ads or influencer posts is.
It's essentially endless.
This is a huge opportunity, even in a saturated space, to find an angle.
Now, onto the products.
We're going to break my cardinal rule of "no electronics products until you've done this multiple times" because... sometimes you just need to live a little.
Electric milk steamer -- $19, 1k MOQ (minimum order quantity), custom logo and packaging.
I 100% believe you could make real money with this milk frother form factor in cool color combos (gradients, patterns etc).
You can order without customization in as low as 2 for $6/e. 500+ for custom, 1k full custom with package and you're at $4.
This is a winner.
A simpler project:
Custom printed glass with a bamboo lid/metal straw combo.
100 MOQ with custom print, $2/e. 500 MOQ for custom package.
Fun patterns + sustainable angle is a layup.
Espresso machine for $47 at 1k MOQ.
This is a hard one to believe it doesn't suck, but certainly worth evaluating.
Shipping is sub $50 a unit at scale so imagine a custom form factor over this shell that you could retail for sub $500...
Influencers are constantly using square and odd sized containers, and I've seen multiple brands sell these.
This clear milk carton style bottle with a simple print job is another low minimum order quantity low cost.
200 MOQ, $2 each printed.
Run it!
What do you do with these ideas?
- Order a factory sample thru Alibaba
- Develop design, form factor & function customizations to help set it apart
- Get another sample to your exact standard
- Plan for your packaging and shipping logistics
- Calculate cost/profit & order
I hope you're inspired to kick off a product project!
I will send all the factory links to these in my Wednesday newsletter, subscribe if you want the direct plugs!
THC + CBD + plant based additives like adaptogens based on your desired experience.
This is the next generation of plant based wellness, with effects in 20 minutes.
Get out of your cannabis comfort zone π§΅π
1906 is an Arizona brand capturing a category that is surprisingly popular in California - capsules and tablets.
Many customers want the ritual of inhaling cannabis, many others simply want the effects.
Cannabis will eventually be medicinal, wellness and recreational.
The 1906 products combine cannabis with plant based medicines by effect - Corydalis for sleep, Kanna and Magnolia to relax, Rhodiola and L-theanine for brainpower.
The next generation of point of sale marketing is going to be π€―
DTC brands transitioning to stores like Erewhon that will let them experiment, and convincing more traditional retailers to break their design molds is a huge opportunity. Retailers are taking a percent of brands recurring sales through them which is also super interesting π
If youβre looking at doing things like that at scale let me connect you to a 10/10 overseas POS factory just hit the dms
This is the same factory from this thread I did last week.
Quick notes on what I'm doing
- ordering a variety of products to see quality
- picking every textile/finish to evaluate
- getting items as close to my final idea as possible
I'm going to build it so if you want to make a physical product and you're in my community you literally have access to anything I've ever sampled or am sampling, and you can just grab the contact from me and run with it.
In 2018 I had a wellness blog focused on these products, but we stopped selling because the space was getting SUPER saturated and it just... didn't feel right.
But that was a google search based business only, and at the time the wellness space was a fraction of what it is today
Most importantly, what we did then didn't have TikTok. It's an organic sales and ad machine.
This space is still crowded, but you win with great content... and a great overseas supplier.
