Is this really still happening? I hope @OSHA_DOL was really listening. We tried our best to help HCWs and other essential workers in hospitals and ALL healthcare settings. It is crazy that the spread continues. My main mantra for nearly 2 years? (1/4)
Public health officials and experts need to make it clear #CovidIsAirborne. To those who fought, smeared, and denied it, shame on you. You have a chance at redemption right now if you will share that you were wrong and why it matters to add better airborne protection for all(2/4)
I won’t name names…but people in the infection control community who were upset at me for calling out their resistance, and virologists who said it not airborne and then airborne only under nuanced conditions…this is a call for you to stand up, own it, and help send a better 3/
message to end this pandemic caused by an airborne virus. If you are an expert with any skin in this game, it is time to stand up and send a unified message to help protect everyone. #CovidIsntOver #COVIDisAirborne #CleanAirMatters (4/4)
I feel bad for calling people out who were wrong. We have all been wrong. It is not about being wrong, it is about attacking and smearing a different message from those who are helping. Then these people push back and play victim. This gaslighting tactic hurts everyone…(1/2)
by killing a message that will help save lives. The concerning part is these people, many with zero expertise in the airborne behavior of aerosols, have amassed a huge Twitter following and been featured by top media outlets. We all need figure out how to get the truth out. (2/2)

Nice to be done with my OSHA testimony. 2.5 hours! I was honored to be part of such a wonderful panel @Don_Milton @brosseau_lisa @drdavidmichaels Dr. Robert Harrison Dr. Rosemary Sokas. An escape into logical simple explanations to help protect others-quite refreshing! 1/4
Thanks to everyone who sent ideas and support. It was extremely helpful. Tough to pack it all into 10 minutes--but others covered many parts I missed. 2/3
A kind email I just got..."I just finished listening to your testimony and all I can say is “WOW”! You were “fast and furious “ and excellent! Too bad your message didn’t get transmitted two years ago - we could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives." 3/4

We have not gotten infected. It is becoming rare. How?

1. Wear a good fitting mask. See previous tweets. (1/)
2. Avoid crowded indoor spaces where people are not wearing masks. (2/)
3. Realize shared indoor spaces with no people can still have airborne virus (bathrooms, break rooms). (3/)

I can’t believe what I just heard on @MSNBC. @kavitapmd just stated a test for N95 mask seal is spray perfume and if you smell it, the seal is not good. Nooooooo! You smell the gaseous vapor…molecules that masks can’t block. Aerosols w/ virus are MUCH larger. Terrible seal test.
More info on correctly testing fit of mask which has become even more crucial as the airborne virus has spread, mutated, and become even more infectious.
In answer to questions about masks/respirators I wear…N95 3M flex, 3M Aura, Powecom KN95, and the durable NanoMask from @Prescientx1 elastomeric respirator when I want to be extra safe. The flex is my favorite respirator in terms of breathability. I don’t love head straps. (1/2)

A wonderful feel good story on @CBSSunday. A must watch w/ @DrLaPook. He is such a kind person with tremendous empathy. Feel so lucky to have met him during this pandemic. Link to our very first June 2020 interview--has been watched thousands of times.

This is what needs to happen…the virus is in the air. This is what people should see when they walk in any public space instead of jugs of hand sanitizer. Thanks @Amal4Solutions. @WHOSTP this will raise awareness and protect @POTUS and others. We need clean indoor air ASAP.

Just heard about a poll which shows that most people still believe handwashing is the #1 way to protect yourself from COVID-19. I do not understand how this is possible. Seeing current situation in DC (no masks, indoors, close), it is clear people remain clueless. (1/4)
This stems from poor messaging by @CDCgov that has led to confusion. Yes, @CDCgov now says "aerosol transmission" but they place it on equal ground with droplet and fomite transmission. (2/4)
Would be great if the @WhiteHouse and others in DC started setting a better example...masks indoors, CR boxes in view of cameras, etc. would go a long way in sending a better message. No, instead they have decided to make it look like the pandemic is over. (3/4)
