2️⃣ To create an MVP of an ASO tool you need 3 things:
🟢 A way to keep track of the keywords you are ranked in.
🟢 A way to track the popularity of these keywords.
🟢 A way to understand how difficult a specific keyword is.
3️⃣ The first point is relative simple, you need to perform a research on the App store and understand if your app is in the first 100 results, if yes, show the place in the standings.
4️⃣ The second point (Keyword popularity) is obtainable directly from Apple. If you log in Apple Search ADS you can see the exact popularity number for a specific keyword using this plugin.

5️⃣ The last point is the most complex (keyword popularity). I'm doing some research and it seems like every single ASO tool calculates this number in a different way. The main problem is that when comparing two #ASO tools, the numbers can vary a lot.
6️⃣ There is no way to tell which tool offers the most accurate numbers and this data is not provided by Apple.
So the situation is: You have to trust these services and hope that the numbers are correct.
7️⃣ I'm also investigate if this situation is present for #SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tools and the answer is: Yes, is the same.
