10/20 What magma does differently. They make use of HODL invoices. This invoice needs 3 confirmations before completing the purchase. Amboss also tracks reputation and removes cheaters or offenders. Minimum risk for both parties and LN beginners!

11/20 Start with comparing offers! Amboss created a new statistic for it, 1M sat APR. It’s the cost to a merchant for purchasing a 1 million satoshi (0.01 BTC) channel over a 1 year period.

12/20 Create an Order! Copy the Tor Address and make and add the node as a peer. Choose the channel size that you want and check the fee info and costs.

13/20 Step 1 Waiting for Seller Approval. Wait for the next step. The seller needs to approve before going to the next step.

14/20 Step 2 Waiting for Buyer to Pay. Check the order summary and pay the invoice. When you use the @ambosstech Telegram bot, you receive a message of every action.

15/20 Step 3 Waiting for Channel Open. Here you wait for the seller to open the new channel. You can check the status with the Amboss bot or with Balance of Satoshis of @alexbosworth.

16/20 Step 4 Seller Sent Transaction. Now the 3 confirmations are being monitored before releasing the payment to the seller.

17/20 Step 5 Seller Opened the Channel. Amboss monitors the graph (gossip) to validate the channel.

18/20 step 6 Valid Channel Seen. Amboss verified the channel in the graph and you’re set to go! Keep those sats flowing!

19/20 Conclusion
Magma is an easy way to buy inbound liquidity channels with big nodes that enhance your connectivity. The right balance between inbound and outbound is still important; you need outbound liquidity in other channels.
