@RootCauseDoctor's Blueprint for reclaiming the Metabolic Health of the Nation (and the World)
Thread π
1. Reject false narratives promoting health benefits of seed oils and highly-refined, industrially produced plant foods @SeedOilDsrspctr@drcateshanahan
2. Educate on the essential role of animal meat, fat, organs to human human health and reject claims of environmental harm of sustainable ruminant agriculture @MrSollozzo, @CarniClemenza, @SBakerMD, @CarnivoreMD
3. Provide people with health and lifestyle advice directly, bypassing pharma-captured scientific + medical gatekeeper institutions
- incl. harms of artificial light, xeno-estrogens in addition to processed food @Grimhood, @DrJackKruse and everyone who podcasts/educates/youtubes
4. Encourage direct consumer access to regeneratively raised beef that supports ranchers, sustainable agricultural practices and food security @modernTman@beefinitiative, @kandccattle
5. Encourage direct patient-doctor primary care relationships that focus on lifestyle #RootCauses of chronic diseases using tools like continuous glucose monitoring @DoctorTro@BrianLenzkes
6. Encourage adoption of #Bitcoin, the digital sound money standard that
- lowers time preference and incentivizes long term healthy behaviors
- incentivize sound agricultural practices
- facilitate uncensorable P2P commerce for high qual animal foods @saifedean@MartyBent
I made this account when I realized the changes needed to improve people's metabolic health at a population level were not going to occur through mainstream institutions ossified and captured by Pharma/food industry.
Mainstream medicine will only change when patients themselves start informing doctors of their success using (correct) lifestyle changes and it becomes too difficult to ignore.
I believe the most effective and realistic public health intervention is mass change at the individual level. We could be waiting a very long time for gatekeepers of information to suddenly change course on recommended daily allowances of animal protein, saturated fat, etc.
In fact, with inflation rising and impending arrival of new generation of fake foods (insect protein, fake meat, etc), the information war surrounding food will only intensify.
Its never been more important to do your own research and take responsibility for your own health.
If you're looking for some places to start 1. Do a 48 hour bone broth fast @MaryCaireMD 2. Get rid of the processed oils, sugars + carbs sitting in your pantry 3. Look up your local butcher selling grass fed beef and make contact with a local rancher using regenerative practices
4. Research your medical conditions and learn about the lifestyle #RootCauses from docs and practitioners who have no financial stake in selling you medications or surgeries
Bearish on top-down change through mainstream medicine/nutrition/legacy institutions captured by corporate interests
Bullish on bottom-up, grassroots change lead by individuals empowered with correct information, high quality animal foods and #Bitcoin

- Every medication has side effects. By inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, we are making a range off-target side effects more likely. Incl myopathy, diabetes, cognitive impairment, etc. These must be balanced against any (purported) benefit in absolute terms ie years of life gained
- No pharmacological therapy is more effective than addressing causative factors ie #RootCauses. For 1 and 2ndary prevention of heart disease this means avoiding factors that damage endothelium and cause oxidative stress (smoking, seed oils, high blood glucose, lead, etc.)
Nobody has done a deeper dive into pre-natal nutrition as @LilyNicholsRDN. Great discussion on the inadequacies of the Standard American Diet to build an optimal baby.
The overt medicalization of pre-natal nutrition has ObGyns recommending avoidance of the most nutrient dense foods like liver and seafood while pushing synthetic, isolated nutrient supplements like folic acid and elemental iron instead of their natural, highly bioavailable forms.
Not to mention the slow moving train wreck of mainstream medical management of Gestational diabetes, which is easily and highly effectively managed with correct (lower carb) dietary advice. Instead more & more babies born macrosomic +obstetric complications. π€‘π
Great analysis from Dr Mercola and Dr @RobertLustigMD discussing the book 'Metabolical' on the #RootCauses of the obesity and chronic disease epidemic.
I agree w Dr Mercola that 'mainstream' low carb narrative often ignores the toxic effects of oxidized omega-6s seed oils + breakdown products (OXLAMs) as key in initiating and perpetuating metabolic dysfunction.
It's easy but overtly simplistic to blame carbohydrates for metabolic dysfunction (ie carbohydrate insulin model) while ignoring the conditions that set the body up for a metabolically dysfunctional state in the first place...
'We've learned things here that we didn't know at the time...we were taking the word of these senior people'
@Johnincarlisle dissects the Pfizer adverse event reports recently released under FOIA
Some thoughts...
This shouldn't be a surprise.
Under-reporting and obfuscation of adverse events by Big Pharma was predictable and anticipated by those who understood the deeply rooted financial conflicts of interest.
Read Ben goldacre or @malcolmken
Read about statin and oxycontin saga
Governments provided Big Pharma with
- vaccine oligopolies
- financially indemnification of adverse events
- guaranteed demand in form of vaccine mandates
Of course they're going to try to protect the source of their cash flow
The original extent of bison herds prior to European contact. That's a lot of grassland now being strip-mined with GMO corn and soy crops. Sad.
High-input, industrialized mono-cropping a historical and ecological abomination. It is sustained by government subsidies, agro-industrial lobbying and other forms of market intervention.
