IMPORTANT: this is not an exact science, local information should be considered too

TL:DR if the councillor(s) in your ward are Tory, then usually you’d vote for the party that came close second last time

Make a note of your WARD.

After you search, keep that page open. You'll come back to make sure of the candidate name to #VoteTactically for.

If there is a local election for you to vote in, start here to find who to #VoteTactically for in you ward.

1. Click on your council

2. Find on the page the local elections for your council (usually a link to another page)

3. Find the most recent election (remember, they're not every year)

4. Find your WARD (from the original search you noted earlier)

If you have a Lab/Lib/Grn councillor already, vote for that party this time too.

If there's a Con/Brx/etc councillor already, #VoteTactically for the opposition party who came second last time - instructions from the start of this thread.

Make sure you know the name of the candidate you’re #VotingTactically for.

Go back to this website and put your post code in.

Find the name of the candidate from the party you’re going to vote for in your ward.

Share your results and working with friends and others in your area, and on social media.

REMEMBER, the usual tactical voting websites have advice for General Elections ONLY.

NOT Local Elections.

The advice they give is for Parliamentary Constituencies, not Wards.

For Members of Parliament - MPs. Not for Councillors.

Always read the small print 🙌
