Ukrainian army released a tapped phone call between a Russian soldier and his mother. The soldier describes excited how he tortured and killed Ukrainians, and says he enjoys mutilating people. I have translated the calls in this #THREAD. Please be aware of extreme violence. /1
Son Konstanin: (It happed) in front of my eyes. I took part in this too. FSB officers tortured POWs. You know what little rose is?
Mother Tatyana: no
SK: you can grow 21 rose on a male's body. 20 fingers and 1 penis, sorry.
MT: ok
SK: have you seen a rose flower opening?
MT: yes
Son: (It is) the same. One cuts skin with flesh off, all the fingers. And later you do it there (on penis). This is what called 21 rose on a male's body. Do you know what other torture I have seen?
Mother: Why do you say you took part in this? There were FSB people torturing? /3
(cont) Son: Well, we captured POWs, we transported them...
Mother: Well
Son: And while we were waiting for the commanders of torture cells, we held POWs, we beat POWs severely, we broke them legs so they could not escape. /4
Son: So a POW seats, hip bones broken. I broke them. They are displaces. He says: "I don't care". But why are you afraid if you don't care? "I am not afraid!" And why are your crying? He shuts up. I love it so much, morally rape people, just with 2 words
Mom: You love?
S: Yes /5
Mom: I told you all the time, I try to control myself. If I were there (in Ukraine), I would enjoy it too. We are so alike, you and me.
Son: (A lot of emotional chaotic words, many slurs and bad language, describes his hate to Ukrainians)
Mom: Why do they try to resist? Don't they understand it is over?
Son: They get nothing
M: Because they are stoned?
S: We captured one civilian, the chief of torture chamber told. An old civilian, and he had all photos of our troops locations on his phone.
M: Such a scum, shit /7
Son: We were chilling around, and they brought us a POW, and he says: "They'll take 2 your lives for 1 mine". We were chilling around. And he says: "I don't care about death, I die for the right cause".
Mom: How?
S: He is shouting, and I say: "If you don't care, why so afraid?"/8
Son: We beat that old man to death, just with batons. To death. Can you imagine? How many times, how long it should take to kill a person just with a baton? It is normally used to discipline recruits. You beat a person and his organs explode. This is how FSB tortures here. /9
(cont) Son: There is another one type of torture, I have forgotten its name. A barrel? One puts a pipe into a person's anus, and puts a barbed wire through it.
Mom: Holy crap! /10
Son: It is crystal clear. I do not feel sorry at all. I have over 20 (killed), I am already calm.
Mom: They are not humans.
Son: I was a very kind person. Oh, how I want to tell you everything, so you will see how I have totally changed.
Mom: Bye-bye
Son: Bye-bye. /END

One need to say for those who were so shocked by the content, so the shock covered everything: it is a well-established state-organised system. It is not an "excess" of one or two sadists. It is organised by FSB secret police, like many torture camps before from Chechnya to Syria

The Ukraine-US security agreement is not a mutual defense agreement (see the title). It's a security agreement, and as such, it creates very broad fundament for cooperation in all possible fields: from intelligence to weapons development. Let me elaborate in this short THREAD: /1
The mutual defense mechanisms are clearly linked to the NATO future of Ukraine, as reaffirmed in the Preamble. The same Preamble stresses the goal of restoration of Ukraine's full control of its territory and a right for self-defence in accordance to the Art. 51 UN Charter. /2
The aims of the Agreement themselves are not of the mutual defense character though, but linked to a broad number of cooperation areas. It foresees extensive exchange of intelligence information, cooperation in area of army modernisation, arms development, reforms, training... /3

Social Democrats' top candidate for the European Parliament @katarinabarley enjoys a clear parallel to "Catharine the Great" ('Katarina die Große' in German), a Russian tyrant of German origin, @EFDavies points out. Putin's Merkel was also Catharine-obsessed. More in this THREAD:

Catharine II, self-named "the Great", was a Russian-German tyrant. Catharine was a murderer, usurper and authored the the most cruel slavery laws for Russia. She was also admired by both Angela Merkel, who had her portrait on her table, and Putin. /2
faz.net/aktuell/feuill…
Catherine came to power after having killed her husband, Peter III. She usurped the throne and was seen by the aristocracy as an illegitimate ruler. That is why she has done everything to please the aristocracy. She has wiped out any right of serves they had in serfdom system. /3

Ok, I observe Varwick at a panel discussion in Hamburg (will debate with him later today). Within the first 30 minutes, he manages to say that:

1) Russia has legitimate security interests, and the West hat massive violated these interests;
2) There is nothing bad in German economic cooperation with Russian high-tech companies which develop surveillance device in Russia, because economy. International trade with dictatorships is necessary. Otherwise Russia buys it from China anyway;
3) NATO with all its 10-times higher military resources comes closer to Russia's borders, "invaded Kosovo against Russia's will", bombarded Lybia etc.

And this looks to be just an appetiser.
4) praised Nord Stream 2 as a tool of mutual dependencies and improved climate policy;
5) smears opponents as "activists" and names himself an expert and a scientist;
Allegedly, some Germans are afraid, someone (who?) tries to forbid them reading Pushkin. I tell you: if there is nothing scary around, a German would invent a scare crow to be scared. A sort of masturbation on fear.
PS The guy says he supported Anna Netrebko’s performance in GER Image

A destruction of a multi-storeys building in Russia-controlled #Bilhorod (#Belgorod) could not be a Ukrainian hit. It is either a Russian attack (deliberately or not), or a Russian false flag operation (most probably). Let me elaborate on this. THREAD:
1) This could not be a Ukrainian attack. Until now, Ukrainians have not attacked civilian buildings in Russia. If it was a missile or a dropped bomb, it came from the north-east, i.e. from deeper Russia's territory. For the same reason, it was not "a 🇺🇦 intercepted missile". /2

Image
1.1) Russia has a long history of accidentally bombing own territory. As Russia uses hundreds of bombs DAILY bombing Ukraine, and these are improvised glided bombs of bad quality, some of them occasionally fall on Russian cities and villages close to the border, incl. Belgorod /3

A Russian male murdered two Ukrainians in Germany yesterday. Before, reportedly a Russian couple killed a Ukrainian mother to kidnap her baby - in Germany. Before, two Ukrainian teenager were stabbed in Germany allegedly out of anti-Ukrainian hate. German politicians keep silent. Image
Early this full-scale invasion, one obviously Russia-staged “arsonist attack” in the night at a Russian school - with one door damaged - was enough for our federal politicians to make a public statements on how they support the Russians in Germany. But not this time. Priorities.
This happened just a month ago: a Russian couple murdered a 27 y.o. Ukrainian woman, AND her mother, to kidnap woman’s baby. The baby was found, the suspected murderers arrested. The whole family erased by Russians - in Germany. No statement by German chancellor or a minister. Image
