How to differentiate yourself as an #SEO professional?

What I've learned so far can be your fortune, who knows.

A short thread about YOUR value proposition. 🧡
Focus on one area of SEO rather than doing it all.

It's easier to pick something you like and collaborate with others to solve problems.

I picked content, data and strategy because I feel comfortable with them.
Ignore trends if they are not suitable for what you want to do.

Of course, you have to be updated but you don't need to learn new skills if they're totally unrelated to what you want to achieve.
Simplify what you present and listen.

I just try to simplify what I present as much as I can and I listen to feedback.

Be open to opportunities.
Don't be a blockhead, you can learn a lot of things from others.

You won't learn the crazy stuff by reading SEO news or being passive.

You need to take action and hear different opinions.
Being methodical or at least having a plan is awesome.

You don't have to create a checklist for everything, you just need some order in your career.

That's totally different, I would never over-rely on checklists.
Reject what's not in your scope if it makes you lose sight of your goal.

Trying new things is cool and all but sometimes you just need to ignore distractions and go on.
"It depends" is a way of life. While many people think it's negative, I claim the opposite.

Yes, it depends can be eye-opening if you use it correctly.

I try to avoid it verbally but the concept is the same.
Perfection is impossible to achieve but you can improve yourself forever.

Hating perfection can boost your efforts because you start seeing the world as it really is.

The first mistake I see is being picky. Great idea, don't write listicles, comparisons and reviews so that your competitors can take it all!

A business blog/website is for what people want, not for your ego.
Lack of internal links. The capital sin of content maintenance, forgetting to link to your old content.

Viceversa is also true, you should always link to your newly-published articles.
