I’ve been asked quite a bit lately why I’m comfortable sharing my earnings from my #blog, so here are a few thoughts/reasons …
🧵👇🏼
1) If your goal is growing an audience, I can’t think of a better way than sharing great results.
People like information, but they LOVE results.
My approach has been:
1) share great results 2) share how I got those results 3) repeat 1-2 🔁
So far, this approach has attracted 5000+ followers in 39 days (128 followers a day).
If you need another example of this approach working, look no further than @NicheSiteLady.
@NicheSiteLady built an audience of 5000+ in just 2 weeks! 🤯 (now at 6,000)
She is sharing her results, and then she’s sharing amazing, actionable advice on how you can achieve the same.
When it comes to audience building, this formula just WORKS.
2) I share my earnings from my content site because that’s the ONLY reason I’m here.
Seeing what ppl like @nichepursuits, Jon Dykstra, @RickyAndJim etc. were making from their sites, motivated me enough to try.
If I hadn’t seen what was possible, I never would have started.
I didn’t start blogging because I love writing, or because I have a “passion” for it.
I blogged because it had the potential to give me the freedom to live my life on my own terms.
And seeing others make multiples of my salary #blogging was all I needed to dig in and learn how.
Again, if I hadn’t SEEN those results, I wouldn’t be here doing this today.
The idea that even one person will see MY results and do the same, is incredibly motivating to me.
I’ve already gotten dozens of tweets and DMs from people saying they either started blogging, or took it back up (at least in part) because of my tweets.
Here’s why I think that’s the wrong question, and what questions you should be trying to answer instead …

For starters, I’m sorry to break it to you but there aren’t any magical #niches out there that are going to guarantee your success.
And no offense, but if there were I definitely wouldn’t share it 😂
When you’re trying to figure out what niche to write about, start by writing down a list of anything and EVERYTHING you’re interested in and/or have SOME knowledge about.
Piggybacking off @jaredbauman, using his last tweet as a template…
"Should you target high search volume or low search volume keywords? Or just not worry about it?"
I analyzed my Top 10 posts from April this year, let’s see what even more data suggests…
