Since some folx don't seem to comprehend the comparison, having "a small(er) jawline & then utilizing plastic surgery as means of widening or squaring your jaw, is quite literally a gender affirming surgery. & one that likely doesn't require a therapist to validate your gender 1/
Acknowledging that there's a possibility he may have had a condition that warranted said surgery. Nonetheless, even if it was not gender affirming, I'm sure he didn't experience much gatekeeping -like pre-approval from a therapist to validate necessity- for said surgery. 2/
3/ trans surgeries are hard to come by to begin with. And now states are blatantly criminalizing gender affirming and living saving surgeries when..... Cis people have gender affirming surgeries everyday without anyone batting an eye.
The math just isn't mathing for me.
Especially when an alarming amount of these anti trans bills target youth. The majority of trans youth don't even have gender affirming surgeries before turning 18yo. 4/

I mean, I'm glad many of you feel very impassioned by the national injustice currently directed towards the trans community.
1. Bottom surgery isn't the only gender affirming surgery y'all.
2. Cosmetic surgery that isn't done for medical purposes or life saving purposes is gender affirming.
