‘Mahamrityunjay Mantra’ - The Power Of Supreme Being and How the Mantr Originated

Mrityunjay is one of the famous name of Bhagwan Shiv. Mahamrityunjay Mantr is dedicated to him and it holds Great Power.

"Maha" means "Great",
"Mrityun" means "Death" and "Jay" means "Victory", and so the Mantr means "Victory over Death".

The mantr is also referred to as Mrita-Sanjivini Mantr or life-Reviving Mantr, found in the oldest Vedic literature, the Rig Ved (7.59.12).

Do you know about Ramanujan's number or Taxicab number or the Ramanujan-Hardy number?

The Hardy-Ramanujan number is named such after an anecdote of the British mathematician G.H. Hardy who had gone to visit Great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in hospital.

He related their conversation,

“I remember once going to see him when he was ill at Putney. I had ridden in taxi cab number 1729 and remarked that the number seemed to me rather a dull one, and that I hoped it was not an unfavourable omen. "No," he replied,

"it is a very interesting number; it is the smallest number expressible as the sum of two cubes in two different ways."

1729 is the sum of the cubes of 10 and 9 - cube of 10 is 1000 and cube of 9 is 729; adding the two numbers results in 1729.

‘The life span of d Universe’ is equal to the ‘Age of Brahma’ which is called ‘Maha Kalp’

Now We start our calculations with ‘Large Units of Time’ in ancient Indian texts.

1- Yug
2- Mahayug
3- Manvantara
4- Kalp
5- Mahakalp (Age of Brahma)

A ‘MahaYug’ is made up of four sub ‘Yugs’that are distributed in the ratio of 4:3:2:1

Krit (Satya)Yug- 1,728,000 yrs
Treta-Yug - 1.296.000 yrs
Dvapar-Yug - 864,000 yrs
Kali-Yug - 432,000 yrs

So 1 Chatur Yug (Mahayug) = 4.320.000 human yrs this is called “A Yug Cycle”

1000 Chatur Yug (Mahayug) = 1 Kalp

Each 1000 Mahayug (Kalp) is divided between 14 Manus.

(1000/14 means = 71.42 Mahayug)
Means 1 Manu rules - 71.42 Mahayug.
