The big pork monopoly, including Hormel Foods, faces antitrust class actions in multiple federal courts; co-defendants Smithfield and JBS settled for over $100 million in damages; but they still think they own the U.S. House seat in #MN01. We will show them otherwise.

Today, I am asking @TheJusticeDept to expand its criminal investigation of price fixing in poultry to cover big meat packing monopolists in pork and beef, including defendants in antitrust class actions now pending in federal court in Minnesota, Illinois and other circuits.

“Fifty years ago, hog farmers got 40 to 60 cents for each dollar the family spent raising that hog. Today, it’s about 19 cents. And as big companies made massive profits, the prices you see at the grocery stores have gone up and the prices farmers receive has gone down."
