Rajkumari, village Naya Basti, Ghoom Nagar in District Sonbhadra in UP, said that her traditionally inherited land in the forest comprising 60 bigha, used for cultivation was set on fire by the local goons during lockdown and destroyed the crops of arhar dal and wheat in 15 bigha
Dharmjit, an adivasi from village Sayal in District Sonbhadra narrated his tragic story, where he alleged that the pandemic and lockdown was used as excuses for destroying forests for illegal trade and the land was being distributed to outsiders.

So a cabal of forest officers and NGOs circulate draft of a law allowing officers to shoot tribal and completely subverts FRA
