the concept is simple: I always change the boring greys for the saturated version of them. If you see a dull blueish grey, put blue. If you see a shy orangish white, put light orange!
and once you are good with that, you can change your hues depending on what you want. Any colour can be changed to other as long as their values are the same ⬇️
and when you can do this? To emphasise things. For example the table is the same value as the spoon in certain area. You change the spoon to oranges and table to blues. Even tho they’re the same value, just because they’re complement colors, they will be separate ⬇️
and you’ll see the spoon clearly separated from the table. Tldr: change the colors as you need to make objects stand out or not, but use the same value if you want to keep the painted things recognisable :)
and same as that, blues and greens can be changed. They’re cool colours they’ll work similar and they’ll contrast against warms in similar way. As long as the value is the same, everything cool, he :) @MolotovTiel
