8/ THAT money, those political donations in Florida show up at TransparencyUSA.org, but it's waaaay more than shown here. Disney makes most of it's political contributions through the Chambers of Commerce and other corporate/business PACs.

9/ Disney spent about 20 million on Florida lobbying and campaign contributions in 2020 according to OpenSecrets, and that doesn't include subsidiary spending, or the "#darkmoney" that went to 501(c)3's which ended up being spent on political efforts.

10/ So, Republicans are upset that they got cut off at the tap. But not to worry, the big money in Florida this year is from CASINOS! The top 6 donors are all gambling/casino companies, and statewide gambling contributions total over $200 million according to TransparencyUSA.

11/ The history of Disney spending money in Florida to keep casinos out goes back a ways. In 2018, they spent nearly 20 million on a ballot initiative to block casino expansions by the legislature.

12/ Needless to say, Randy Fine was very upset about this. He and Nick Iarossi have been trying to get the door open in Florida for casinos since before #RandyFine became a state representative in 2016.

14/ Randy Fine once got Gov. DeSantis to veto a bill that only Fine voted against. It was a bill that would have modified a special district here in #Brevard, but that veto seems to have only protected David Isnardi, who was indicted for racketeering. 😬
