President Buhari has established a Presidential Police Reform Technical Team, in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, to coordinate police reforms.

Under PMB, @NigeriaGov has Launched the Community Policing Initiative. Community Policing officers are drawn from local communities across the country. Expected to operate within their own communities, as local liaisons between the Police and citizens.
PMB approved the recruitment of 40,000 new Constables. Being carried out in tranches of 10,000. Third batch now ongoing, for completion by July 2022. That’s 30,000 new Police officers so far.
