So what is Gideon's background? He appears as an "expert" at the Australian Academy of Science.

So what made him an "expert" prior to covid? Before 2020 he only had one first author paper, admittedly in a reasonable journal (Impact Factor 5)

Interestingly the same year (2019) in his only other publication before he became a "#COVID19 expert" he ditched his China connection.
