To the average End User, personal data is just something that corporations collect in exchange for accessibility to “improved products”. Corporations however, view End User #data as a valuable digital commodity. A $DAG 🧵
Do they use it to “improve products”? Absolutely, however improved product equates to greater growth and adoption, which in turn equates to a greater bottom line for the corporation, all HIGHLY driven by YOUR data.💰
As you can see, corporations have no reason to inform End Users about the value of their data. In step $DAG.😉

If you are bringing an individual/entity into question publicly, it is wise to PROPERLY inform all parties in question. Failure to do so is just bad business.
Freedom of the press is a great thing, but it’s only as good as the responsibility of it’s benefactor to not abuse it. Innocent people have gone to jail for years for crimes they didn’t commit because of freedom of the press. Guilty until proven innocent is not the way.
