An article published in @hsfi with entitled "Sweden was the first western country to list the #PKK as a terrorist" and explains the reasons behind listing PKK, but without mentioning that the information was false and the truth behind it has been revealed long time ago.
Unfortunately, most journalists and analysts make the same "mistake" when writing about #Kurds and misinform their readers. Because the western media, when talks about Kurdish issues, use the Turkish state media as their source.
One of the false facts they mostly use is the Pinarcik case. @hsfi analyst says "The Pinarcik massacre is one of many #PKK attacks that the Australian Parliament lists as the reason why the PKK has been put on the country's list of terrorist organizations."
BUT...
Ayhan Çarkın, a former police special forces officer, admitted on 2011 that JİTEM, an intelligence unit of the gendarmerie was behind Pinarcik massacre and many other actions.
Çarkın claimed the Pinarcik massacre on June 20, 1987, was not committed by the #PKK, as originally claimed. “The Pinarcik massacre was actualized by groups formed by JİTEM for means of provocation.”
Also the case of Olof Palme mentioned in @hsfi article, it is important to mention how the Swedish state terrorized Kurdish community for that false theory, and after the truth was revealed, they never apologized to #Kurds for decades of pressure on their activism.
Also it’s important to mention there are at least 12 murder theories on assassination of Olof Palme, including the Swedish police and the CIA behind the murder, but surprisingly the #PKK gets more attention because the media wants it that way. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassina…
Pinarcik and Olof Palme cases, 2 of main reasons behind listing #PKK, and the truth behind both of those false theories has been revealed, but PKK still remains in the list, and that always used by Turkey as a reason to attack any kind of Kurdish activism anywhere in the world.
