FANON RESPONSE—by Luan Loud, #TheLoudHouse
"I agree with you wholeheartedly on this issue and I am sad to hear that you're in the minority on it. I really hate reading most modern interviews with influential comedians from the past—even those I truly admire—for this very reason."
"The main thing about these interviews that REALLY crawls up my skin is their response to certain elements of their past work that MIGHT be perceived as objectionable by a modern audience, such as racist and sexist stereotypes or the repeated use of racial and ethnic slurs."
"A lot of the time, they respond by yelling 'CANCEL CULTURE! SOCIAL MEDIA IS KILLING US! I WANT TO SAY THE N-WORD AND R-WORD AND S-WORD AND C-WORD AND GET AWAY WITH IT!' In real life, no one ever gets away with it. Especially not in this most pressing era for minorities."
"I prefer to see acknowledgement of potentially harmful material in old comedy routines. I remember seeing a tweet noting that 'Weird Al' Yankovic actually stopped himself from uttering the word 'hermaphrodite' on a live tour and noted how offensive the term comes across as now."
"This was a good thing. I wished it happened more often around the comedy world." (END)

BRIEF COMMENT
Connor Marini appears to have found my Discord account and is attempting to justify his general habit of making creepy (and usually pedophilic-in nature) comments about minors to my face.
Naturally, I'm not falling for it.
Here's a thread detailing some of his "polite" "compliments" that are really neither polite nor complimentary.
BRIEF COMMENT
Biden is in the lead in Nevada, winning 49.3% of the vote with 75% of the precincts reporting. If the @AP calls the race in Nevada for Joseph Biden (whose tally now stands at 264 votes), that would indicate Biden has enough votes to win the Electoral College.
That should also mean that it may be time for President Trump to make a concession speech. I have been declaring that he is toast almost every time I've talked about him since the pandemic began. I happily report that I hope to be only six electoral votes away from being correct.
The only downside is that I'll have to hear this sound emanate from the mouth of the President when the AP announces that his opponent has won Nevada:
ELECTION UPDATE @JoeBiden, who is still leading over @realDonaldTrump by a rather narrow margin (238-214), is on the upswing in Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin this morning as ballots continue to be counted, particularly in five of this year's all-important battleground states.
Joe Biden is leading in Michigan with 96% of the precincts reporting that he has 49.6% of the vote, compared to Trump's 48.9%.
The same lead over Trump has been recorded in Wisconsin, another of the ten battleground states of 2020, with 95% of the precincts reporting.
BRIEF COMMENT
The day before the Presidential Election is to be held, I found out that Right Wing Watch found a new goon in the form of Robin Bullock. He claims the COVID-19 pandemic was caused by people who voted Hillary Clinton for President in 2016.
No matter how you feel about Hillary Clinton, I think we can all agree that this particular charge against people who voted for her hasn't got a single shred of sense in the world to make.
• Also, our resident "historian" of the right-wing media, David Barton, reveled in his homophobia some time ago, linking being representative of the LGBTQ to being an adulterer in an attempt to convince Christians to vote against LGBTQ issues.
On October 12, 2020, you may have seen two different interpretations of the same Monday in October. Sometimes you see it referred to as Columbus Day. Other times, and with an increasing frequency in the modern era, you might hear about it as Indigenous Peoples' Day.
For many years, in the Americas, Italy, Spain, and a great many places that refer to themselves as Little Italy, this date was known as Columbus Day, in celebration of an Italian explorer by way of Spain named Christopher Columbus.
