#On this day , Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakunin a Russian revolutionary anarchist, socialist, & collectivist anarchist who lived from 1814 to 1876 was born.
He is regarded as 1 of anarchism's most significant thinkers & a key player in the revolutionary socialist and social anarchist traditions. In 1869 he co-wrote Catechism of a Revolutionist with Sergi Nechayev.
Despite several disagreements with Marx's idea of state socialism. Bakunin became a member of the International Working Men's Association (First International), a federation of radical political groups dedicated to overthrowing capitalism and establishing a socialist state.
Bakunin was charged with anarchism and expelled from the First International in 1872. Bakunin's major work, Statism and Anarchy, was released the following year.
He campaigned for the abolition of hereditary property, gender equality, and universal free education for all children in his book. He also advocated for the transfer of land and factories to agricultural communities and labour unions.
