Just learned that @KatieMarchForCO takes max donations from NRA lobbyists. Can't say I'm surprised.

Several weeks ago, HD6 community members, including myself, asked @KatieMarchForCO to condemn and return the thousands she received from the people and groups behind the racist attacks on @elisabethepps. She only offered a defensive obfuscation and never returned the money.

Katie March has taken over $10,000 from the Corporate Landlord Lobby. The same lobby that maxes out to Republicans and fought to evict people during the pandemic.

HD6 has one of the highest rates of renters in the state. That means Katie's going against all their interests.

Katie March is also endorsed by the Colorado Chamber of Commerce. The same group that, again, has endorsed Republican Leadership (the same folks that called Denver a "toilet bowl") and fought tooth and nail against Climate Change bills this last session.

By my recent estimates, nearly 50% of Katie March's donations come from Lobbyists, PACs, Funds, or Committees. Her average donation is around $150, compared to Elisabeth's which is under $55.

This is open corruption. These lobbyists donate for access and policy positions.

And here is the thing: I know what Katie's going to say b/c I hear this all the time. "I'm just taking their money but I'm going to vote against them."

Absolute BS. That money comes with strings attached. It comes with near unlimited access.

Here is another counter I'll hear: Democrats need to take money to stay competitive.

Sure, let's say I believe that. Let's have our vulnerable members in at-risk seats do this if needed. Why should we allow this in a +70 Dem seat? This should be a secure Progressive seat.

You may be asking, why are Republicans and Corrupt Lobbyists donating over $100,000 (btwn IEC & direct) in a Democratic Primary that votes +70 Dem?

B/c they know that @elisabethepps can't be bought or sold and will only fight for the working class. That's why.

How will Katie March regulate guns when she takes from NRA lobbyists?

How will she help renters when she takes from Corporate Landlords?

How will she act on Climate Change when she takes from those who oppose green bills?

Also, calling all journalists to look into the HD6 race. This is the only contested Dem Primary for State House in Denver. We need journalists to do a deep dive and report on these issues.

@MomsDemand @COCeasefire @StudentsDemand - I hope you all consider making it a requirement that your Candidates cannot take money from Lobbyists who take NRA or Pro-Gun lobbying money. No Progressive should take money from NRA connected lobbyists.
