Caballero, often with the "brothers Rivas" by her side, abused her role as Mayor and was deeply involved in many criminal corruption acts.
The largest of those was the @CityofSalinas deferred compensation PONZI. No official was investigated or prosecuted for this scam.

But the facts remain - Caballero was deeply involved and many of her well connected big money donors were borrowers from the 457b plan, which cost Salinas employees millions of retirement dollars.

That's a big stain for Monterey County area elected officials like Caballero and like Robert Rivas.
@Rendon63rd isn't termed our for another two years (2024). There has been no indication that Rendon is associated with verifiable public corruption.
