Follow these steps to save a gunshot victim from dying;
1. Make sure you are safe first!
2. Shout for help or make a brief SOS call to alert others.
3. Look for any source of bleeding in the victim; remove their clothing if necessary.
4. Try to stop the bleeding with pressure - if no medical supplies, cover wound tightly with clot, shirt, scarf, etc
5. Keep pressing down hard on the bleeding area with both hands. Press & press!
6. If injury is very deep, press the cloth into it to pack the wound.
7. If a trauma kit is available and gunshot injury is on the leg or hand, pull a tourniquet tight around the victim's arm or leg ABOVE THE WOUND!
8. Elevate the injured limb above the rest of the body!
9. If victim is already losing consciousness or you can't feel their heartbeat anymore, start CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) with chest compressions.
10. While you're doing all these, let other people around help to make fast arrangements to move victim to the nearest medical facility!!
Never panic in front of a gunshot victim. Keep reassuring them that they'll be fine. You looking too anxious or nervous can make things worse for them emotionally!
Never, panic... Just save their lives with these tips!
Death from gunshot injury is mainly due to blood loss from torn blood vessels or muscles, or damage to vital organs like the heart or brain.
About 4 to 8 minutes of bleeding from a penetrating gunshot injury can be fatal.
So if you can help the victim reduce their bleeding before medical care arrives, you might actually save that person's life.
A football star Christopher Edoghogho reportedly slumped & died during a match in Edo.
Organizers of sporting events must provide a resuscitation team well-trained in CPR & equipped with AEDs (automated external defibrillators) to resuscitate cardiac arrest victims on the pitch.
Most times, players don't die on the pitch if immediate lifesaving resuscitation is PROPERLY done on them before they are taken to the hospital.
Sudden collapse & death of players on the pitch has been happening for so long & it seems nothing tangible is being done about it.
I would suggest this to every leader or coach of a football team or any sports team:
Please ensure that a proper resuscitation team is in place before you allow your players to participate in any sporting events or competitions.
Before becoming sexually active, you ought to have completed your human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to protect you from the virus that causes genital warts & many cancers.
If you missed your shots but are already having sex, check this thread for what to do. Pls RT for others.
A lot of people currently have genital warts, anal wart, cervical cancer and some cancers of the anus, vulva and throat because they never received their full course of the HPV vaccine.
This doesn't have to be the case with you. Yes, because these can be prevented!

Your urine colour often depends on 5 things:
• how much water you drink
• the medications you’re taking
• what you eat
• disease conditions &
• exercise
You should be concerned if the colour of your pee is significantly abnormal.
1. Clear urine (clear as sweat)
It means you might have:
• Taken excess fluids (over-hydration).
So you need to drink a little less. Although hydration is good, drinking excess water when you're already well-hydrated can make you lose electrolytes from your body.
