"You've heard the old adage 'A picture is worth a thousands words,'" said @SenBlumenthal today as children stood behind him wearing BulletSafe vests at a rally for gun control outside the Capitol.
"You can't close your eyes or your ears to what's going on in America."
Senator @ChrisMurphyCT told students advocating for new gun control measures that "young people and students" have historically led successful movements.
"I am more confident than ever that we are going to change the gun laws of this country to make our schools a safer place."
"High capacity magazines is about high capacity killing. Nothing else," said @senatormenendez at the #DontLookAway rally.
"Those who seek to kill Americans with such weapons do not have greater rights than our nations children to whom we owe a precious obligation to project."
"Change happens when we make it happen. Change happens through protest, through activism, through work, through voting," said Senator @CoryBooker speaking in front of children, some wearing BulletSafe vests, at the #DontLookAway rally for new national gun laws.
Here is my full video today of Senators Richard Blumenthal, Chris Murphy, Bob Menendez, and Cory Booker speaking out at the #DontLookAway rally at the Capitol for new gun laws.

VIDEO THREAD: This morning, environmental & abortion access supporting activist Guido Reichstadter hopped over the barricades outside the Supreme Court and used a chain and bike lock around his neck to attach himself to the unscalable fence.
"Abolish Roe?" he chanted. "Hell no!"
Anti-abortion @PAAUNOW activists began chanting "Pro-choice, that's a lie, babies never choose to die" as police responded to Guido Rechstadter chained to the fence.
"I am not letting my daughter's rights be taken away by this unelected, unaccountable Supreme Court," he yelled.
Police actually found the key to the contraption around abortion access supporter Guido Rechstadter's neck that he ditched before locking in, but they didn't seem to try it.
Instead, they began working from behind the fence with a bolt cutter.
An ex-police chief in Ohio has been sentenced to 3 years PROBATION, 6 months home confinement and no prison for fraudulently using his position to buy 200 machine guns and illegally resell them.
“Today’s sentence demonstrates that officers who violate the public’s trust with utter disregard for the public’s safety will be held accountable,” says the federal gov’t, after a police chief got only probation for illegally selling 200 machine guns.
There’s currently a handful of curious neighbors beside me across the street, but political fraudsters Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman are nowhere to be seen for their press conference they announced would be at “high noon” today.
VIDEO THREAD: Tonight local police and Federal Marshals stood outside the house of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in Maryland as abortion access supporters marched back and forth outside.
"Pro-life? That's a lie! You don't care if people die!" they chanted.
"Stop throwing a fit! You can't even find the clit!" the protesters chanted as they marched from Justice Kavanaugh's house to Justice Roberts's house.
A driver through a fast food cup at them.
"Abort the court!" they continued to chant.
"Ted Cruz is ugly!"
"No privacy for us, no peace for you!" chanted the activists as they marched back and forth on the sidewalk outside Justice John Roberts's house, which was also protected by local officers and Federal Marshals.
VIDEO THREAD: Activists led by @ShutDown_DC marched to Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's house to support abortion access.
The 1st speaker addressed tactics: "They will take my rights, and they will attempt to take them away regardless of if I'm nice, and we're nice, or not."
The 2nd activist to speak outside Justice Samuel Alito's house explained that, "I believe abortion should be available to all pregnant people regardless of the reason" to cheers, and listed off stats showing the plurality of Americans believe in at least some degree of access.
The third speaker at Justice Alito's house said "legislatures across the country are passing a flurry of anti-LGBTQ bills as well."
"Republicans have worked for decades to advance anti-abortion cases up to the Supreme Court. They're going to do the same with anti-LGBTQ cases."
