It’s exhilarating and urges one to heroic virtue. 2/15
In penal times, at the English college in Rome students gathered around this picture to sing a Te Deum whenever news reached Rome of a martyrdom of a former student. The priesthood was a heroic vocation for which one would risk ones life. 3/15
