Sorry Allistics (non Autistic people) - my timeline is not where you come to get intellectual labour about Autism. I perform enough for my marginalized intersections. Go to #AskingAutistics #ActuallyAutistic or do a Twitter search of the thing. Follow Autistics too.
I will tweet about my experience being Autistic. Will talk about how dehumanizing it is to be called "person with Autism". But it's not my job to tell you why. Enough information is on Twitter about it. There's a whole community of us here who talk about this.
@commaficionado Have anything at hand?
Follow @AutSciPerson especially. And don't disturb them - I'll fight you if you do.
There's also @BlackAutistics - they'll have a list of Black Autistics. @nisslbodies and I interact a lot but don't take bs to her TL
@laurenancona is the absolute best at saying things out loud 🤣 @iputahexonyou is a photocopy of my brain in someone else.
@eexistentialist is another copy of my brain in someone @meghasomething says things about comorbidities so I use her TL for things I should read but don't 🤣
Guys I'm really looking for your @'s. Now why was I thinking of @ekverstania as "that white woman who likes hats" 🤣🤣🤣
The ones here can add other people you should follow. I put the people I mostly interact with while screaming at the world.
The ones who interact with my Autism discussions mostly. That's but one of my identities 💀
I forgot @angiyo58 🤦🏾 But it's remembered. Off I go to do stuff I should be doing.

I've wondered if Americans know that aid isn't free money. It's "very low interest loans". That's what they call aid. If they say "grant" that's when it's free money. In other words, your country is saddling Ukraine with debt - and they need it to fight so they take it.
And even grants aren't free money. The US asks for hefty policy concessions for grants. They do it through the IMF. Recently they blocked hiring of teachers in Kenya in return for some grants. Fyi: Most Kenyan teachers are super old and retiring so there's a need for teachers.
This too. The money is paid to US manufacturers to manufacture weapons but Ukrainians are the ones who will pay. So the jobs are created in the US for the US using the so called aid money. Ukrainians get weapons - and a tab for generations

You learn something living as an Autistic... Don't bother. Don't even bother explaining things. If people cared enough to listen, they'd have heard you by now. But people only care about their oppression. Give them a chance to oppress and few *actively try not to do it*.

I've actually stopped checking my follower count and getting shocked plus anxious. It's mostly women and the queers. The audience I'm speaking to. The only men who are audience to some of the things I say and ND men and Kenyan men wrt politics in Kenya. That shit is angering.
Avoid following me as a contrarian in chief. Kenyan men who follow me are respectful - they get that not everything I say is for them to chime into. And we coexist peacefully. It's enabled me to have a peaceful platform to think through Autism and ADHD especially.
Also, I'm in Kenya. The lack of queer friendly wording is deliberate. It's like living in Texas for USians. But make it more right wing socially - yes, more right wing than Texas. So no, I have no bandwidth for all the harm that I'd face if I used "the right words".

My husband and friends are like - you really need verification. So I guess I'm working on that as soon as I can.

Fyi: Cassandra isn't my name. It's from Cassandra's Dilemma - something that happens to Autistics a lot.
Walk up to Twitter offering up "Twitter for Professionals" which has a tipping option and I was like - why not. So I decided to try setting up something. Guess what? All the other options don't allow for Kenyans 🤦🏾 Including the said African alternative.
I'm annoyed but it's their business. What this means is one can't use MPesa - I'll update as soon as I get one that can. Also unsure if Patreon allows for one off tips - seems to be subscription based but well, let's see. Here it goes...

Someone has asked me what else I've observed. And oh boy - there's another really messed up one. Men outsourcing mundane decision making to women and causing decision fatigue - meanwhile they get to preserve their brains for work. Let me look for the thread.
Then joking about "how women can't decide what to eat" like it's a cutesy thing. Sir, your {insert} has been making so many decisions that her brain has shut down and won't let her make any more. She's literally struggling with comprehending the stuff on the menu. Help her!

I want to ask someone on my timeline - how can we bring the price of Strattera down? It's one of 3 ADHD medications in Kenya and the only non-stimulant... Imagine 430 a tablet being a deal 😭

For foreign followers, approximate USD by dividing by 110 or 100 to make it easier.
I use Ritalin - It is 71 bob a piece and I take two a day. That's 132 bob a day. In 30 days, thats 4,260. Anxiety meds I got prescribed yesterday were 18 bob a piece - for 30 days, thats 540. Add doctor's consultation and you have 7,800 every month. Few can afford this.
My insurance is still paying - I haven't maxed out outpatient but it's a lot man. ADHD doesn't select where it lands - rich, poor etc. The fact that only well off Kenyans have access to medication is not okay. So poor people's children just live struggling?
