2/Why start ABCDE?
We have a vision to support 100 CEOs in our lifetime.
We are in a great era, but also in a difficult era. The flame of web3 is rising globally, but it also encounter cold winds. Builders are more powerful than any era, but they also need more support than ever Image
3/We used to be the builder of #Web2.
I once co-founded the marketing science company Lijiaoshou in 2015, which was acquired by @Baidu_Inc in 2017;
Du Jun was an early member of Discuz! and was acquired by @TencentGlobal .
4/We are also the builder of #Web3.
I have advised and incubated more than a dozen blockchain projects since 2013.
Du Jun co-founded @HuobiGlobal and @ChainUpOfficial , which have become some of the most important infrastructures for web3.
5/We ourselves are builder, entrepreneur and then investors. Since we are builder, we understand builder better.
6/We have experienced from 0 to 1, from 1 to 100, and even from 100 to 1000.
We know the difficulties and hardships in this process and the problems that enterprises will face at each stage. We can help the builder more empathically as the builder behind builders.
7/Why are we called #ABCDE?
ABCDE means A Blockchain-Centric Development Ecosystem.
That's right, we are an ecosystem that provides full-stack supports for builders.
8/Our annual goal is to support 10-20 CEOs, not seeking more, but only for perfection. By focusing on a few projects and devoting our two GPs' time, we hope to help CEOs succeed and create maximum value. Our focus is on blockchain infras, open finance and Dapp of mass adoption。
9/I drilled into crypto in 2013, and Du Jun did in 2012.

Back then, crypto was just a toy for millions of geeks. Today, crypto has 300 million users. We are proud to make some contributions in this process.

《Web3创什么业》——数据篇

新晋的Web3开发者通常都会遇到一个问题:进入Web3领域,做什么方向?
为了探讨这个问题,我准备开一个系列,叫做 #Web3创什么业 ,面向0-1岁的Web3创业者和开发者。
正好这段时间在新加坡、美国见开发者和团队,分享一些见闻,浅谈开发者值得关注的创业方向和机会。
首先开篇是数据。
区块链的本质是一个开放、无需许可的分布式数据库,所以数据方向是与生俱来的。
传统的互联网开发者对于数据有足够的熟悉和了解,有与天然的优势,所以数据是新选手最适合尝试的方向。
那数据赛道都有哪些模式呢?
下面是几个典型案例:
1.The Graph
thegraph.com是一个去中心化链上数据索引协议。它与传统基于云服务的API类似,区别在于传统的API是由公司运营;而链上数据索引由去中心化索引节点组成。
2020年 12月The Graph主网上线至今,月平均环比索引量增长保持在50%以上。截至2022年3月,流通市值达到32.8亿美元。

虎年的第一天,聊聊“短期悲观,长期乐观”。
25年前,风险投资人John Doerr预言到:“互联网是这个星球历史上最伟大、合法的财富创造活动。”

从1995年到2000年5年时间,互联网公司从0创造了4000亿美金的市值。

从1975年到2000年,互联网所产生的10亿美金独角兽公司,比整个星球历史上都多。
今天,Crypto在接过互联网的接力棒,成为这个星球历史上最伟大的财富创造运动。
12年时间,Crypto从0发展到3万亿美金市值。
创造了上百个10亿美金的独角兽项目。

《熊市生存指南》
比特币从69000已经跌去超过50%,作为一个13年的老韭菜,上个周期也写过一篇《熊市生存指南》。这个周期,Crypto底层显然已经发生巨大的变化,然而很多的基本规律依然是不变的,那么这个周期的熊市要如何生存,应该采用什么策略?姑且给大家一些老韭菜的经验之谈。
1/首先,不认为会出现18年19年的长熊,过去的周期跟比特币4年减半强相关,4年牛熊屡屡应验。
但上个周期比特币市值占比超过70%,今天只有42%,Crypto全球用户突破3亿,基本面已经今时不同往日,4年牛熊效应越来越小。
2022年,ETH2.0、L2、GameFi、DeFi、NFT等赛道会持续不断产生热点,形成局部牛市
2/熊市最好的策略,就是选择并坚持好的赛道(Beta)。
作为13年至今穿越牛熊的亲历者,看过人割肉离场,也看过人离场之后又归来。
最痛心疾首的,都是在熊市没扛住离场的人,冲在最高点死在最低点;
最好的收益,永远是找到好的赛道Beta并且一直坚持的人,市场会给牛熊穿越者最好的奖赏。

昨天参加一个old money的局,一位巨佬问了一个很典型的问题,也代表很多old money最后的困惑:今天crypto不管涨了多少倍,但难道不是有互联网都可以实现吗?能用互联网为什么需要crypto?

这个问题代表了crypto出圈最后的障碍,我这么理解:
1、crypto创造了新的流动性和财富叙事。今天的年轻人他们会去买什么,是再去买互联网吗?买股票和基金?还是买社保和房子?他们是买互联网还是买crypto?
没错,互联网和crypto都可以实现。但年轻人部会再为互联网买单了,他们在crypto build自己的新叙事。
2、每一代人都需要自己的旁氏,而不是去为上一代的旁氏买单。
社保、房子、基金本质上都是上一代人的旁氏,今天的年轻人去买token、买NFT都是在创造自己这一代人的新财富叙事。
每一代旁氏都会创造新的财富阶层,于是选择就很简单明了,你是选择固守这一代的旁氏,还是去拥抱下一代?

《以太坊的飞轮|BMAN》
今天以太坊4600美元,市值超过5400亿美金,位列全球资产排名第15位,接近腾讯。
而上个月以太坊还经历了一场社区论战,3ArrowCapital已经公开声明抛弃以太坊。

很多人都在想,以太坊的本质是什么?
以太坊是要被历史遗弃了吗?
2.0升级对以太坊有什么意义?
下面是今年7月15日我在火币大学的演讲内容,从资产的角度切入,理解什么是以太坊。
当时以太坊的价格是1950美元,今天看来,很多看法已经得到了验证,拿出来供大家参考。

要理解什么是以太坊,首先我们可以先理解什么是资产。
一、什么是资产?

Robert Greer 1997 年发表论文《 What is an Asset Class Anyway?》,任何一个资产,他满足某个属性,就属于是一个资产。

第一,资产具有现金流的特性,比如说能够产生现金流,那么就可以称作是资产。如公司的股票,一些租赁的房产,它都可以产生现金,那么他就可以称作为资产。 Image
